Are you in the facebook group? i just joined it to help in my research before I buy a MKZ. After two years we had Ford replace, under warranty, the car battery in my wifes 2020 Escape Hybrid. I have never had a new car battery last longer than a year.

Yes! You must do a lot of driving. Batteries should last atleast 2-3 years. Always go with the ford batteries. I found they last longer. Cheers

Have you had any problems with the panoramic sunroof? I'm shopping for a 2017-2019 and some I've found that are good deals have that sunroof but I'm afraid of having one that big because if anything goes wrong like motors going out it'll cost a fortune to fix. With any huge sunroof I also fear water leaks or being caught in a hail storm. That panoramic sunroof was around a $3,000 USD option for this car whereas the small one was only $1,200

No issues with pano sunroof. I clean the tracks and drains so nothing ever gets clogged. Also make sure to lubricate the tracts

Also- is the panoramic sunroof laminated or tempered glass? I saw a 2016 and it looked thicker than typical sunroof glass and felt more solid when banging on it

this was what I was able to find online: “It goes back 600 mm, has 5-mm thick tempered glass and a laminate on the inside. The rigidity and the structure are very safe - it meets or exceeds all the safety criteria.”

When you gonna detail my car

In about 3 years my warranty paid for $8,000 in parts does that count for maintenance? Parts replaced: Half Shaft Seal, PTU, Idler Pulley, APIM, Rear Shocks, Ventilated Seats, back up camera. When the PTU needed replacement I made them replace the Rear Differential fluid at 31k miles it was already starting to oxidize and they didn't want me to do it as its a 50k miles maintenance. I've had the transmission fluid flushed also. Once I hit 10k miles on the new PTU I will be taking it to Dundee Ford thats wheel Richard from Ford Boss Me works have him change that fluid as well as the brake fluid that's supposed to be done every 2 - 3 years. It's a good thing I was proactive and bought a PremiumCare ESP from Lincoln at thee time of the PTU spewing oil in 3 places. Because every repair was $100 deductible. At least I know exactly the state of the car I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon as the car is paid for. ALSO in change my oil every 6 months or when it hits the 50% life mark $120 a year in oil changes is cheap insurance for that water pump not that I'd have to pay much for that repair only $100

I have the same warranty like yours. But do you know if it covers the PTU, transmission flush, and RDU?

@@321verykind it was more of a question actually because I’m not sure if I should worry about it not being covered by warranty or not. Should I get it fix/checked before it gives me issue

Have you had any advancetrac warnings? All the lights have been going off on mins recently. 87k miles. 2015.

AH yes I have. Mine comes and goes, but when it does come on, i loose my power steering and adaptive suspension (feels like I'm riding in an M5). I want to get it fixed but it rarely happens so I kinda put it to the side for now. It is apparently a wheel sensor.....

i hear that the hybrid battery only last for 15 years or 150,000 miles so if i get the 2014 lincoln mkz hybrid that has 146000 miles on it i'm almost guaranteed that i will have to change the hybrid battery pretty soon :(

I think the batteries have a 150,000 mile warranty, which I already passed. I haven't noticed any decline in gas mileage yet since I drive mostly highway. Reman batteries are around 2k and come with a sick warranty, so its not that bad compared to any other hybrid/electric vehicle.
