Kevin, another good video, I am 51 and starting medical school this Fall. I definitely recommend that you do a video for younger folks about retirement planning. Years fly by, I can assure you, and if I had not saved properly I would not be going to medical school and/or still have a retirement date in mind notwithstanding going to medical school.

Please can you do a video or collab with a person that went from FNP to MD? I’m thinking of going back but I’m dreading starting school over and the major pay cut when I have a family.

Hey Dr. Jubbal, Thanks for putting out great content. In your video you mentioned you were aiming for a pass on step 3 with a lesser competitive fellowship down the road. I’m a Canadian med student and I plan to write the USMLE exams with the intention of remaining open to fellowships in the US. Given that I would be writing the USMLE for fellowship purposes and not for residency match, would you be able to weigh in on how much a competitive score matters? Or what kinds of fellowships would be considered more competitive? We don’t use test scores for anything here in Canada beyond MCAT it’s truly all pass/fail so it’s tough for me to envision how much the USMLE score itself will matter for fellowships.

I wasn't planning on a less competitive fellowship, it's just that the fellowships I was considering did not care about your USMLE Step 3 scores. As for the fellowships in Canada, that will depend on the specific fellowship specialty. You'll have to research this on a case by case basis.

In Russia, we Residents still pay school fees and they don't pay doctors

No plans to extend Memm to USMLE at this time - focused on MCAT. The benefits of using Anki vs Memm for MCAT are outlined in a few videos on the Med School Insiders channel!

I'd love to see an investing/retirement savings video! I'm still so lost as I just got a high yield savings account at 30 years old.

I thought all med student loans were unsubsidized and you have interest accumulating day one?
