The advantage of Virgil is that even tho he is huge, he has a good grasp of positional defending. You'll never see him clearing goal line as Fabinho or Matip or Gomez, but he makes sure that the opposite player is uncomfortable enough not to shoot on target. He is fast, and skillful for a defender as well. Rare to see someone with the strength of an elephant but the agility of a leopard.

I think he forced the opponent to uncomfortably used weaker foot. For example R to L and vise versa. I saw YT vid van dijk and Robertson mention about importance of knowing opponents strong foot. That's why it's important for the footballer to have decent weaker foot to be unpredictable and dangerous.

And also make video on rules and fouls, as you know which are foul and which are correct tackles sometime it's right or not and how we get foul on excellent area from where we take freekick or penalty.

Van dijk is actually amazing. I don’t really go for Liverpool but he’s a beast. I don’t see how other defenders can’t do what he does. Like me of course I ain’t near his level. But in games I always do those two first tactics you mentioned. And in a one v one situation no one gets passed me unless they’re faster than me. I’m a small player but no tall kids or varsity kids gets passed me. I just keep my eyes on the ball. And I can body them easily since I’m small it wouldn’t be counted as a foul😂🤣😂.

If that is something you have done before please send me a link to watch. The second Idea following on from this video I’ve just watched. Could you do a video on how to play the ‘Libero’ role in football. As I’ve started to get back into playing football, I came across a video of Franz Beckenbauer. I’m sure you are aware of this footballing Icon, but something about the way he played just makes me want to lace up my boots and get on the pitch. If you believe there is a modern day player who plays a similar style / position to what Beckenbauer used to, I’d also appreciate the suggestions, as I feel the ‘Libero’ position has been forgotten about and it should be remembered, or better yet, revolutionised for the modern day game. Once again, if you have already done this video, please send me a link to watch. Thanks for your time and consideration, understand this is not the channels most recent video, however I enjoy watching your content, along with the rest of your viewers.
