3 Surfers Shot to Death While on Trip to Mexico: Reports

The bodies of three surfers were found in a well in Mexico, days after they were reported missing. Reports say brothers Callum, 33, and Jake Robinson, 30, of Australia, and Jack Rhoad, 30, of California were shot to death while on a surfing trip to Baja California. The prosecutor reportedly said investigators believe the men were killed by people who wanted to take their truck. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

Was this a few years ago? I was driving down the coast when two Australians were killed. 2017 I think. Everyone was talking about it in places I stayed. The other side of that story was that they were getting drunk and obnoxious in bars and insulting the locals. Eventually the locals decided to track them down and rob them. The men resisted and ended up needlessly dead. Not sure if this was a different murder or the same one. Be polite and respectful and just surf you stand very little chance of this happening to you.

This is going to definitely prevent many from going down to Mexico. So senseless - the Cartel thugs could have stolen their truck, taken what they had on them, and left them - Alive to walk back to town. Horrible. May they rest in Peace; Condolences to the family and friends...💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻

Prayers for the suffers and their families .. as a Mexican American from San Diego , I love going down there and I’ll continue to visit Rosario and Ensenada . One thing though I don’t go to remote places and stick with the crowds . But not going to lie it can be a little scary driving east of Ensenada to the wineries because it does get remote driving through the hills and open land .just pray nothing bad happens. But all in all I love Baja and it’s sad hearing about news like this.
