How do you overcome an existential crisis?
You first have to ask yourself:
“Why am I in an existential crisis?”
It is most likely because you feel lost.
You feel lost because you don’t have any direction.
So how do you find your own direction?
Here are 3 steps to fixing this problem:
Step 1: Education
Only through education will you find your passion and interest, it is your passion in life that will lead you towards the righteous path and direction you are seeking for through the acquisition of knowledge and wisdom.
Once you have found something to be passionate about and you have discovered what you are good at doing in the process, you then need to take action.
Step 2: Action
This is when you start to reveal to the world what you are ready to strive for with courage. It is the action you take as an outcome of your education that will give you something to work on that involves a goal that is directed towards the accomplishment of something within the real-world.
This is the complete opposite of education, as this is the process of making the internal external, putting your intelligence through the trials of life and to the world outside through action-based principle as a testing ground so that you can externalise your education and craft it into a form of your own identity through achievement and practical real-world application.
Once you take action the final rule becomes consistency, or in other words: mastering the art of creation.
Step 3: Consistency
The final step is to figure out how you will become disciplined so that you reach the goal(s) that you have in mind that are aligned towards the purpose and passion which you have discovered for your life.
This final step is the most difficult to accomplish because it requires you to constantly readapt and realign your lifestyle on a weekly/monthly basis so that the cultivation of mastering your own craft as an individual is achieved, this is not something that happens overnight but requires constant testing, adaptation and improvement that takes months or even years for you to develop and learn.
The difference between someone achieving or failing this final step of consistency (which is the final gateway to their achievement of success) is dependant on their perspective of failure.
Has the individual learnt that failure is a great teacher that rewards them with clues on how to improve or do they view failure as a deterrent, as a sign to give up on their own ambition, willpower, drive and determination?
The gateway to success is dependant on how you humble yourself in the face of difficulty and failure.
If you are arrogant in the face of failure you will always fail because you will constantly reject the lessons in which failure wants (and is trying) to teach you.
So ask yourself this question:
“Do I react negatively to failure as a detriment and take it too personally to the point of self-deprecation whereby you burning down your own dreams in the process?
Or do I take failure as a blessing?
A lesson and teaching of what not to do, an opportunity through learnt wisdom of how to better streamline my efforts towards what is right so that I reach closer to my own personal success?“
