I’m shocked at how useless Nelson’s opponent’s two rooms were (and the queen to a lesser degree) while Nelson’s were so aggressive. I like how Nelson teaches us to use our instincts when we can’t see everything clearly and how he is not afraid of being down a piece when he’s attacking. So informative.

Very nice game. I love watching these kinds of videos because I end up learning something every time. I would not be brave enough to start giving up pawns like you did, but I see why you did and how it helped get you into a great position. I saw the move pawn to e7 forking the 2 rooks, thinking that it was the only move for white to stay in the game. So proud of myself for that. However, maybe if i was the one playing, might have also missed that idea entirely. Also, if your opponent had more time to look for better moves, maybe he might have seen that move as well. Time management and wide vision are very important aspects in chess.

17:25 even if pawn moves to put rooks in fork, you have some checks to get one rook out. Even if they capture with queen, it can put white king in check and then other rook can move away freely

Technically, white was up a knight. But since white rooks and queen were never in the game, black effectively traded a knight for two rooks and a queen when counting active pieces. You have to keep the pressure when sacrificing for position.

Computer cant see "imagination and sacrifice and thus it says ?? to some of your good moves and you WON!!! Imagine how it would react to some of Bobby Fishers games or ones where he sacrificed the Queen early on and all the GM's shown it after, couldnt work out what he was doing from that position!! Shows that most GM's are technically perfect and wait for a mistake; bit like in tennis where your opponent just keeps the ball in play and has no real talent, and waits for you to lose a point and wins through attrition. Playing the computer, you find it plays the logical move and thus makes you a very strong low error player, but play against a skilled imaginative player and you will be lost and unable to work out what hes up to..
