How’s it going? You still in the business? I’m a week into sales off a year in a BDC and 3 years prior as a sales Porter. I’m obsessed with the industry and consuming as much as I can from my peers and managers.

i’m a former inventory specialist and detailer at my local dealership. Been working for them for over 3 years and i now have the opportunity for a sales position thanks to the man above. I just like to hop out when I picked the right vehicle, and I just say alright y’all let’s make it happen, in an excited tone, and I turn and walk inside. They always follow. Of course if they didn’t like the vehicle 110% to satisfaction, I start asking more question to see how I can meet their needs.

Of all your videos this one is a solid formula which is widely used in all sales environments. Taylor it to your personality but above all be sincere don't come across as a slippery salesperson

I'm honestly watching this to apply to my admissions job because, at the end of the day, sales is sales everywhere you go!

The one thing that I will say is that you do have to close the sale in a timely fashion. And you have to complete enough sales or you won't make it. You come across as a bit aggressive , however I understand, you can't be Mister super nice guy tour guide and not rack up enough sales to sustain yourself. Another thing is that when you start asking them qualifying and pre-closing questions and the like they will come to understand that you're in the business of selling cars. I'd say this is a soft approach of taking control. The idle shoppers with no intentions of making a purchase will wander away and seek out a tour guide. Thus , you're not wasting your time with a non-buyer. Seems to me the best dealerships are the ones with massive inventories of popular cars. When a prospect drives up they are thinking "Geez... this place will have what we want and at an acceptable price point".

Been in sales now for 5 months. Average 20-25 cars a month and now they are moving me to closer. I'm nervous as hell, Andy.

I would buy new cars a lot more often if I did not have to deal with these people prowling the lot and think they can sell anything to anyone...it is very annoying to the buyer, I do not know ANYONE who purchased a car and actually enjoyed the buying process. If the dealers could ever realize how they "poison the well" when they employ these tactics .....maybe the car buying process would become an enjoyable event folks would like to experience more often
