3 shed wifi ideas- Garden office Internet

You need a good internet connection in your shed / outdoor office as it makes life so much easier.
If your'e wondering how to get WiFi in my shed then the easiest way is by using powelink adapters such as the TP link adapters I've used. The connection occasionally goes but they take minutes to set up and you don't have to run cables down the garden to your shed office or garden office.
A WiFi extender may reach your shed office if it's close to your house but the signal may be weak if it isn't. Powerline adapters may end up being a cheaper solution if you're using yoru shed office as a more permanent place to work from. I'm not sure if there's such thing as an outdoor WiFi extender but you may be able to find an enclosure so that an outdoor WiFi extender doesn't get wet - please let me know if you know more about this.
If you've tried the above and are still wondering how to get WiFi to my shed that doesn't lose connection then run an exterior armoured ethernet cable to your shed. It won't lose connection. I've had an ethernet connection to my shed office for well over a year now without any issues. The connection is fast especially is you use cat5, cat6 or even above and you'll be set for video calls, uploading and streaming.
A shed office needs to have good wifi so it's almost certainly worth the work running a cable to it. Use Powerlien adapters as a short term fix until the cable can be run but you will not regret running a proper ethernet cable to your shed office.

3 ways to get wifi or internet to your shed office.
The first way to get internet to your shed would be to use WiFi extenders. When these work, it's great, but I have found that this is the most intermittent of all internet options.
The second to get internet to your shed is to use powerline adapters. These take an ethernet cable from your router and allow you to send that connection to any other plug socket, where you put the other adapter. After syncronising the powerline adapters, you plug in another ethernet cable. Job done. This works very well but occasionally stops working and needs to be reset.
The third and by far the best way to have internet in your shed office is to just run an ethernet cable to it. Initially it can be a pain to run the cable but once that part is done, there are absolutely no issues - unless your neighbour cuts through your ethernet cable.

I brought a tp pink power line kit for my garden shed, Works great😁. It has to be on the same ring though. I wish I had brought it sooner. I was using a tp link wifi booster before but it wasn't too great.

This is very useful thank you. I am burying my ethernet cable with my electrics down to my garden office. Do you have and recommendations for a good router? The main one I have in my house is the basic Virgin Media one so I need something for the garden room to plug the ethernet into

I’m going to run my shop the same way but I was wondering how you feel about plugging a Wi-Fi extender into your ethernet cable that you have already ran?

That really strange. Sounds like a broken cable. I’d try a different cable and see if it works in case the Apple fire cube isn’t working

You have to make sure your secondary router is synced with your main WiFi. Can be a bit complicated from memory
