3 Rob Marcello Licks From 2018

Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Rob Marcello Licks From 2018. After I posted the Danger Danger Chordplay episode a couple of days ago, I noticed a few requests for him, so I figured it was finally time to feature some of Rob's fiery fretwork - so let's dive in!
Rob is actually Kee Marcello's brother and he's been on the scene since the early 2000s and has worked with a variety of groups over the years - including Danger Danger since 2003. He's also a legend in the guitar industry and NAMM shows, as he's a regular clinician and product demonstrator for various instrument makers and brands - including Roland/Boss, Caparison, Hughes & Kettner, and many others.
The ideas in this episode came from a candid Instagram video post of Rob's from 2018, where he's jamming over some backing tracks and really strutting his stuff. The licks/ideas shared here surround some interesting and musical melodic arpeggio ideas that were in the clip, including a slick position-shifting idea, a slip-n-slide melodic arpeggio phrase, a "leapfrog" sequenced run, a melodic pedal-point phrase, and much more!
Needless to say, if you're a Rob Marcello/Danger Danger fan, or maybe just a player searching for some slick licks and cool ideas to stuff into your bag of tricks - this episode is totally for you! I used to go to Lang Music guitar store in Columbus OH back when I first moved here around 2003. Rob worked there and actually sold me my Ibanez JS2000 that I still have today. Bought a ton of Mesa Boogie stuff from him at that store as he was the sales guy I always wanted to deal with. He was always a super nice and friendly guy. Had no idea who he was back then. Would hear him in the back teaching lessons and it was obvious how good he was. A cover band of mine actually did a gig on Halloween as the first band to play and he played in an 80's hard rock tribute band that played after us. Somewhere I have pictures of that night.

First time I seen Rob, it was a video on KZread of him demo`ing a Hughes & Kettner Tri-Amp Mk-III. I was blown away by his playing, and the tone from that amp.

Been a fan of rob for 15 years. Had no idea his brother was kee . Love them both. Think robs more technical but kee is more melodic. Both powerhouse guitarist.
