Hahaha
I actually got them all right for once, I'm so proud of myself
i thought the same on the cake but then i realized that the cake has strawberries and sharing equally would mean everyone gets the same amount of cake which also contains the 8 strawberries.

It is still possible. Cut it in half, stack the two halfcakes on top of each other. Cut again, stack them on top again. Final cut. Everybody gets a strawberry.

EinsteinJR2 dear, you're fairly correct . cut the cake into two equal prices, put one of those over the other, make the other slices now, put the quarter prices in a line now make the third slices through the center

But aren't the strawberries part of the cake, just like everything else ? :D
yeah u can have 8pc of cake slice perfectly the same, but who wants to eat a cake in the bottom? without the icings? oh come on..

JUST USE MOTE THAN 3 SLICES, IS YOUR KNIFE CURSED OR SOMETHING?
#3 i knew what answer you expected, but the riddle is actually invalid because you cannot put two nails at exactly the same spot.

And why wouldn't you just use the one nail?
@SickSkilz
6 жыл бұрын
if you use a 4' chain with an odd number of links, the very middle link will hang slightly more than 2' down, allowing the nails to be very near but not on top of each other
and now we have 8 equal *messy* pieces of cake.
i was putting the chain into a function, so i could derivate it, make it equal to zero, and get the X coordinate in the vertice of the curve, but then i was like "am i dumb!? -.-"
I love these riddles, but I agree that they were a bit easy. I think the geometry cake riddle has a LOT of potential though!

The cake riddle had a problem for me: Once the cake is cut in two vertically along the center diameter, for the 2nd cut, you now are making two cuts, one in each section? And when you then cut the cake horizontally, you are making four cuts into the four sections of the cake, so you end up with 7 total cuts. I don't think there's an absolute answer to this issue, but the fact that it's present IMO makes the riddle invalid.

I only didn't get the last one because of the picture I thought we were going off that
in the first one your wrong because some glass may fall out and go on the flower bed. just break a window
@jmfindorff
7 жыл бұрын
There's also the fact that the muddy footsteps were by the door only and not where the broken window was and yet the doors were locked, so the old lady must have broken through the window from the inside out, hid the jewelry and then came in through the door using a key in which she then locked it after. This could also have been a blunder by the artist.

Sharang Pimparkar In the picture it was shown that all of the glass fell on the flowerbed
for the cake riddle, you should stack the 4 slices, not slice horizontally, that way, (assuming the cake has 8-fold rotational symmetry) there will be 8 identical slices, not 4 bottom pieces and 4 top pieces.
We had that cake riddle in the 4th grade i felt so accomplished when i figured it out
1. The glass. That was easy 2. I used to much logic In that one. First of all not all lakes have frosting in the middle, so when the cakes I'm familiar with are applied to the riddle it doesn't make sense. I don't want to eat a cake without frosting. Also, I thought a normal knife couldn't cut through a normal cake's middle with one slice.
Another more fair way to solve the cake problem is too cute 2 perpendicular lines like he did but then line up the pieces so you only cut once but each piece is cut in half so if I can draw this in text form it would look like this,

Its the first time ever, that I've got all riddles right, I'm so happy now 😄😀
Got all 3 right. I need more easy ones like this to make me feel smart.
@ 2:12 there is ANOTHER way to get 8 even pieces! Just cut it plus shaped, then align the four pieces length-wise. With your third cut, go lengthwise through the centre of the alignment!!!
@TangoNevada

I don't know that what you are saying differs from the solution, other than orientation of the slices.
The cake guy says he wants to be fair, but half the people are getting all the frosting. That's not fair at all.
2 outta 3 the last one was nice... & also easy
If it was my birthday and somebody told me I could only use three cuts for the cake, I'd tell them to get stuffed!
I got the first two right. The last one I thought It couldn't be done or that the distance would be really small. But the picture threw me off. So I kinda got all three right.
You want to cut the cake horizontally first. If you do that cut last, the four individual slices will move around more easily and make the job harder to do neatly. Technically, once the cake is cut in to two large piece by the 1st cut, the 2nd cut is going through two pieces, not one, so that the total count at the 2nd slicing operation is actually three cuts, not two. Cutting the horizontal slice last goes through four sections of cake, so the subtotal is 4 cuts and the total is 7 cuts for all 3 slicing operations.
The last "trickiest"according to you was thedumbest😂😂😂
I found most of these easy but did have to listen to the cake one twice to get myself to stop thinking about the cake as a 2-denominational object, I like how this video makes me feel better about myself.
A horizontal cut through the center goes against the premise of the riddle. Every piece of cake is supposted to be equal, yet the four bottom pieces will miss out on the toppings of the cake.
for the first one I think its is because the broken glass was on the outside which would not have been the case if the burglary broke it from out side, so this means the old lady destroyed it from the inside.
yup.. if wanted to lose half of my friends i would definitely slice my cake like that
In the horizontal cut... folks that get the bottom four are screwed out of frosting!
For the second one cut it into quarters and then stack each quarter on top of each other and then cut straight down the middle
I got all of them👏🏿 I feel like my life is accomplished
My cake solution was sloppier: Cut in half, stack one half on other, cut again in half, stack one more time and cut in half one more time. Also, who uses two nails no distance apart? Just hang both ends of the chain on the same nail.
haha the second riddle reminds me of puzzle I was given as a kid. 5 kids, one cake, three cuts, how to evenly distribute.
@poorlittlesheep4098
7 жыл бұрын
And the answer is cut it into 4 equal pieces then kill one of the kids with the remaining cut. Tada
I Love it 😀
For riddle 2,I will just put all 4 on top,and slice them into halve, then remove them
Well, I got them all correct!
For the first riddle I was like Why are the foot prints going inside the house from the door if he smashed and came through the window.
bruh the first one was so easy LMAO
Alternate answer to the cake one (less elegant but whatever): use frames of reference! Place the cake on some kind of rotating apparatus. Make what you consider to be a straight cut from your inertial frame, but what spirals from the frame of the cake. Make two more non-inertial "curvy cuts" and set up a parametric equation so that: n separable parts (n inscribed curves from the intersections of the 3 spiral cuts) can be combined such that you get 8 sums of a constant volume.
For the cake one : wouldn't it be better to cut it in half, then stack those two pieces and cut in half again so you get four, then stack those four pieces and cut in half once more so you get eight??
The first one was so dam easy . It was like a Piece of cake and that came was delicious !

In most such cases, glass would shatter to the opposite side of where it was hit from. Maybe a few pieces would fall to the inside of the house but generally this is the rule.

No matter what if it's a perfect circle it can be divided equally
@TangoNevada
2 жыл бұрын
No matter how many divisions are required with a limited number of divisions?
The last one I was tricked by the placing of the chain so I thought it was 1 foot
3:If the chain is 4 feet long, and the chain is curved, and it has a hight of 2 feet, the nails can't be parallel.
For number 2 you cut the cake through the middle (where the cream is) and then cut each piece into 4ths.
Cake & Chain one was toooooooo easy.
They were fun but easy to solve
The pieces of cake wouldn't be identical, because half of them wouldn't have frosting on top.
For the second one, you could cut it twice across and then stack the four quarters on top of each other, cutting them all in half into eights. No top and bottom halves and only 3 cuts.
With the cake one you can simply cut it in half and cut it in half again. Next simply stack then all on top of eachother and slice down the middle
well if it's particularly a cake and not a mere 3 dimensional geometric shape, four of the guests will miss the strawberries and everything on top of it, which is quite pitiful.
i tried that cake method , but then 4 of my friends killed me for not getting cherries on top.
i thought something different for the cake riddle... you can cut the cake in 4 parts with the first two cuts (like the original solution). but instead of making a last horizontal cut, you stack the 4 pieces and divide them in two parts with just one cuts. I dont know if you get what i mean, but if you do... that's the way i see this riddle xD. And also, i think the original solution is wrong (maybe because of the drawings), because the original whole cake has the jam layer at the middle, and after cutting from there every kid has the same layer of jam, and that's not possible (without mentioning that not every kid would get the same ammount of strawberries) :3
I would have cut the cake twice to split it into 4 quarters and then stacked each slice on top of each other and then made one final cut to make 8 slices. These slices are more equal because they all have the icing on the top!

Çağatay Özkan ah okay I guess I wasn't listening
Very nice animation man. Good job there
For the first one they could have got in a different way but then broken out for a quick escape
Trying this one..... 1 is SUPER easy, window broke from inside out, very simple. 2......is and isn't possible. The answer itself is simple, the problem is that the cake has strawberries on top.....can't split those. Also we have no idea if the cream level is in the middle of the cake, cutting horizontally can still cause issues..... 3 also very simple, if funny at how the question is a trick one designed to make you think about the riddle wrongly.
Aleternative method for riddle 2 is to stack the 4 peices and cur them all in half
Easy riddles + Solved Quick = More Than 1 Answer
I technically got the second one wrong, but I got his answer immediately. Then I realized that the cake had strawberries on the top.
yeah got alright! I don't know why but it took me some time for the last one
These riddles are very easy l solve all of three easily
2:26 look at those happy fuckers, "YoU cAn't CuT tHe CaKe"
HOW CAN YOU HAVE TWO NAILS IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT?!?
The cake cuts is messy , you don't need to cut the middle off , you can still have equal size if after the 90 degree quarter cuts , you cut the cross section of thee 90 degree angle by 45 degrees by stacking the slices , half again of the quarter to make eighths of the equal volume
1. Unless the murderer is smart enough to put the glass outside, hoping that it would make the police think the woman committed fraud and get them off his trail. 2. Since when is the bottom of a cake the same as the top? 3. You would think I would notice they are in the same spot.
first 2 were quite simple.. Third one really got me :)
The first one is common sense. Anyone who got it wrong probably shouldn't enter a life of crime.
2.cut the cake in half then cut both pieces in half and make one diagonally
On the third one I couldn't get it Bc the way you illustrated the chain I automatically pictured the nails apart
The problem I had with the second one was that who the heck wants only the bottom half or the top half of the cake? One will always be better especially if the cake has filling.
3rd riddle was tough
The first lady will get out of jail, she doesn't know how the criminals got in, there's reasonable doubt.
the cake one was so easy😂
For the first one I thought that maybe the crack on the window was too small for someone to fit, or that the muddy footprints matched her feet size. I got the second one right though...
pretty easy. I didnt bother to do the second one lol
2 outta 3 correct the birthday cake was somehow impossible for me
I better not be one of the friends that gets one of the bottom pieces of cake that has a lot less icing
The top has icing and decloration, but not the bttom, so it's not that fair. Not to mention there could be fruit, cookie, chocolate and other goodies as part of the decloration.
got most of them in under a minute, but not the cake one.
Ayy! Let's go! Got them all right!
these riddles were a bit too easy
ALso, you could with the first cut, cut the cake in half, then put one half on top of the other.
Riddle 1 has more than just the broken glass. The muddy footprints come from the door, not the window.
I would have stacked the cake and cut again down the middle cuz it wouldn't be fair if all the cream was on the top.
i got all of them, the second one took the longest
I liked the riddle with the chain hanging wertically.
The last one was easy af
I solved them all except from the second.
1:her footsteps are coming from the door
I would have gave a stawberry instead of a cake to friends
I knew the first two riddles, so they were no problems, and the third one was very easy.
Honestly, the 1st one was so easy...
This first one being the glass on the outside which means they broke out which is impossible because the house was locked up everywhere else
Quite easy, i did all 3 of them correct
