A little specification from riddle #1: from the infos, we know that the robber always lies, so the other two, the innocent, must be telling the truth. The fact than Marc is innocent comes from the fact that, if he's the culprit, then both Paul and Luke must be telling the truth, which is impossible since their statements contradict each other and can't be both true. So Marc is innocent.

Yo! For some reason i skipped to the last one thinking it is the first one ( easy one) and i did it...thinking 'well that wasnt that easy' 3/3 smashed it.

I was able to do the first 2. I'm proud of how I figured out the second one. You wouldn't have mentioned it was a Japanese ship if it wasn't involved with the answer. Professor Layton has taught me well!

1st riddle:paul 2nd riddle:i think it was the housekeeper ( i will tell you why at the end of the comment) 3rd riddle:i thought it was nicolas and phillip because if you add the numbers of the names together,it equals 14 and the numbers on the note (including the slash) equals 14. Explinations: 1:i think it was Paul because marc said that paul is the robber and paul says luke is the robber but luke said paul is lying so luke is not the robber and marc says paul is the robber so i think paul. 2:i think it was the first housekeeper because it was a Japanese flag and Japanese flags are symmetrical and the housekeeper said that the flag was upside down.

Thank you, what fantastic fun !!.... Q 3 was the easiest for me to solve, then 2 came quickly, too, and 1 was hardest. Feedback : The reason for the difficulty was in the presentation, wording and narration of the questions. Q1, the word "uninvolved" was said too quickly, maybe even now I miss-heard it ?.... this was closely followed by the word "involved" which is repetitive & confusing. In Q2 a detail about no wind alerted me to the flag immediately, ( but the no-wind info was left out of the summary ) anyway, I realised the flag was identical either way up since the info mentions Japan at the start. Q3 was easy, a chemist writes down numbers ? must be the periodic table, but in the narration it didn't say the victim wrote the note ( but it does say so in the summary ). Anyway these riddles are great fun despite the difficulties in articulating ( including pronouncing ) the problems clearly. My guess is non English mother tongue viewers do best.
