3 Reasons To Buy One | Royal Enfield Himalayan FAQ #2

The Himalayan is now so good that the list of reasons to get one is a long one. Here are our top three. First, the suspension and manners. The Himalayan is an easy motorcycle in the hardest of conditions because the suspension and the chassis give it such a comfortable and easy feel. Bumps are absorbed smoothly and raising the pace doesn't affect the manners. Brilliant. Second, the engine. The Sherpa is a reasonably fast engine when revved out but it's a wonderfully torquey unit that allows you to choose a pace as well as whether you like revving the bike out, or are happy to select. higher gear and chugging along. That flexibility is marvellous! Third, the feel. The Himalayan does have slightly heavy controls and feels substantial without becoming challenging which make the sense of you riding a premium, large motorcycle very palpable and yet, not a chore. It's a difficult balance to pull off and the Himalayan manages very well.

    I think instead of posting videos about comparsion between bikes and becoming naaptol website 😂, Pros should consider posting some lessons and tips on how to handle, ride and have more fun on such beautiful and incredible machine. I found himalayan 450 absolute fun bike on broken roads as well as tarmac, lucky to own one now. It brings smile everytime I take it on Indian bad roads, leaving others in shock as it propels ahead, while others are biting the trail of dust left by Himalayan. I look forward to shumi doing a detailed ride and handling video on this as this work by RE deserves a dedicated video for its brilliant chassis and suspension for sure.

With the spec sheet it looks attractive but not really sure on the pricing (5.9L Ex Showroom). With the earlier launch to Transalp 750 and now this Honda seems to have a plan and capture the adventure tourer market in India. It can be a great alternative for someone who is looking to get something in Sub 10L segment like Verses 650.

    Because it does and it is unbearable. Lets be honest. 99% of the riders don't wear riding gears. The 'experts' fail to factor that in as their gears are top class. Repel vibrations and heat efficiently. I tested both 390 ADV and Himi in 40 degree Celsius wearing loafers to really understand the heating and vibrations. Both bikes heat and vibrate but the Himalayan is unbearable. Sorry.

    It's the tubeless spokes we are talking about on this bike and not alloys. Alloys can't take the extreme beatings, and eventually break(on off-road type bikes). Spokes are more stable. And it's true they should've been out by now. It's gonna be 3 months in a few days since the bike came out. But if you prefer extreme off-road or rally, believe me tubed spokes are better.

    @@rakshitsharma16 Hello there...indeed tubeless spokes r better in strength (for jumps and harsh off roads) and I get your point. Sadly, u didn't get mine. Suppose someone like me wants a bike for long Highway rides, and not for bouncing/jumping or sliding around, then which is better? Spoked tubes or alloy tubeless? Hope you got the point. And one more...when RE brings out alloy tubeless or the spoked tubeless later, what is the owner of the current spoked tube tyres do?? To whom will he sell his old rims? Is it not an imposed expenditure later ?

  • @rakshitsharma16

    @rakshitsharma16

    6 ай бұрын

    Get a scrambler then, bro. It's good on the Highways, better in the city and decent off-road. Also comes with tubeless alloys. Secondly, it's gonna come as an accessory, and I hear it will take time. Say April at least. So no point expecting any more from RE. I think the bike cost is gonna jump too with the tubeless getting introduced. You do have a point when you say about the spare rims. I think I'm gonna make them off-road tubetype tyres by spending another 15k rather than wasting them. Selling, I don't think anyone would buy them. I'd rather make something out of it.
