On the ride dynamics, I did a round trip from BLR to Ooty to BLR via mudumali. I travelled with a pillion and luggage. No where I felt the front was light even in steep inclines. Coming from Japanese two wheeler, the refinement throws me off. But the engine didn't give up. Low end torque was never a problem. Squeeze the clutch an mm or 2 it gets the job done. Take away, if you often ride with a pillion and luggage, your looking for well mannered adventure tourer. Go and get the Himalayan.

Fantastic review. I have done 1700Km so far happy I would rate it 9/10, able to achieve 39.5 km/ltr speed between 80-90 on highway, above 100 it gives me 32-35.😂refinement levels is getting better over the time, it is rock solid like a Apache helicopter where I had a chance to ride😂😂

My last trip of 420km on my himalayan 450, tripper was showing 33.1kmpl but by measuring mileage using tank full to tank full it was 30.57 kmpl, so we can't believe on tripper mileage

  • @bigbearbangalore

    @bigbearbangalore

@shubham_singh30 my understanding is rhat thw tripper is live milage that's takes about the last 50 kms onto calculations. Tank full considers the usage of rhe last say 15 liters.

I brought this bike and it’s 1st service is due this weekend The thing I liked is the way I can handle the bike despite it being a nearly 200kg machine and that’s not what most Royal Enfield bikes can do. My bike has some rear brake issues and some sound in the rear wheel. Apart from that the bike a beast. Thanks for the positive straight approach review it gives us confidence. Love the bike the bike loves u back.

Hi Guys, I thoroughly enjoyed this video of 2 friends sharing their experiences of a new bike. I am currently a HIMMIE 411 owner looking and impatiently waiting for the arrival in France (my home) of the new 452. It looks very much like the bike for me, with the history of Royal Enfield and the new owners shaking RE up, with new models coming thick and fast it's an easy brand to be loyal towards. I just hope these new 452's arrive quickly as I have money burning a hole in my pocket. Subscribed.

Both scrambler 400x and the Himalayan are amazing motorcycles. The scrambler suited my taste, hence I got it. But the Himalayan is incredibly powerful and battle tested too. Noraly rode entire ladakh on it, which was a pre production motorcyle. So it's good. There are minor issues, but which motorcycle doesn't. I love the scrambler just like Bosky anna does.

This channel is an antidote to all the other KZreadrs and content creators. It's quite amazing to see two "uncles" buck the social media so well without losing any of their self-awareness. Their self-awareness and self deprecating/self-referential humour makes it singular. They don't care about competition because they are so self-assured. It's so evident when they talk about the complaints regarding odometer console. The smile on Boski's face tells you so much. Their "competitors" could be strappy, young men who think biking is all about machismo and macho projection. But these guys having enjoyed their biking for so long bring alive the true spirit of zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance. I don't usually care to comment on KZread videos. But I had to. These guys are inspirational. I am a 45-year-old (occasional) rider and I would like to be like them when I grow older.

To reset the trip meters quickly, you need to hold the joystick to the left for few seconds.... Scroll to trip 1 or 2 and just hold the joystick to the left. It will reset. Earlier, I too thought the i I to go inside the menu to reset it but one day when i was just randomly checking the joystick to get familiar with its "clicks", i found this way to reset it.

Are the low-end torque questions in comparison to the 411? Can you climb a dirt hill slowly like the 411 or do you have to rev and work the clutch more? Also, I'm guessing by the spokes that these are still tubed wheels - so are the new tires/tyres compatible with the 411 rims?

  • @bigbearbangalore

Crawling along at super low speeds like the 411 may not be on. But thats ok with me cost I may need to do that 0.5% of my ride so matters not cos the rwst of the 99.5% is far better than the 411. These are tubeless type and not sure if it's compatible.

Sir I am a follower of you for just the last year but I always watch all your videos I like your sense of humour sir. But I feel you are VERY DIPLOMATIC with all your views, as if you dont want to upset any manufacturer. Especially with RE. Why would I live with a Bike like this that has so many limitations and issues? You should suggest your audience alternative. No bike is perfect, but the Enfields have childhood problems continued till end of life.

Thanks for being a follower. And yes I choose to be relatively neutral to all brands and models. Not just here but in life general. Nothing is perfect and no use abusing or dishing out hate to anything or anyone. A balanced and moderated view is better. Everyone is doing their best and we don't know what all constraints and struggles each has. On the outside it all seems ok but internally out of sight there may be many problems. So it's always better to be balanced in opinions and assessments and judgements! 😊🙏

I have been following your videos as well as others who owns Himalayan 450 and Triumph 400x. I need to buy one but am too puzzled which one to settle for. I don’t have any complaints on triumph. Only one issue with Himalayan is tubed tyres. I am a senior citizen and do not wish to go for long rides but at the same time like to ride a smooth non tiring bike. I disposed off my Harley Superlow due to its weight and heating issues. Kindly suggest which one to settle for. 🙏🏻

I was in Kerala for two weeks from USA , I put 1800 kms in my Himalayan . I love the suspension, I had no problem with cornering with passenger at the back seat and full of luggage in my three hard boxes. Only one thing I hate is the original seat, touring seats were not available. I have taller windshield which waste of money ( wind blowing straight into my face, I am 5’11”) I went through more than 250 hairpin bends. Did not feel any body pain. I love this motor cycle. Low end torque is bit low but the character changes with little bit of throttle 😅 . Last thing is the headlight, I am glad that I have mad dog fog light . Please don’t depend on the headlight it’s not bright at all.

Only question is what about the seat? You said you will come to that later but unless I missed something you didn't mention it. Heating, imagine in Chennai that too in the month of April May June 😂😂😂😅😅😅. Agreed with less low end torque, my 411 can menovour in 3rd gear at 15kmph this one struggles. Regarding opening of throttle, I tested a vehicle for 90 kms the opening and boost to throttle is terrific. I pushed the vehicle in 4th gear and trust me it did comfortably 110. Regarding RPM around 5000-5500 rpm there is a strain but after 6000 it goes smooth. Behaviour of the vehicle in streets and highway is very different trust me.

I enjoy watching the two of you talk about bikes. Always wait for your reviews to drop. However, I see no reason why we as bikers / customers have to constantly excuse these noises and inconsistencies as characteristic and something to live with. I believe RE among other Indian companies have to go that extra mile and ensure that these noises are engineered out from the get go. Then there's nothing to piss on right? I had massive issues with my Speed 400 (Head and valvetrain replaced, both front forks had 100ml oil less than factory recommended) and it took a hell of a lot of screaming and escalating before they acknowledged it and fixed it (actually I diagnosed the front fork issues and sorted it out at home myself, they were absolutely clueless and I had to share the info with them). If i'd accepted valvetrain noise and suspension noise as characteristic I would be riding what you call a Lemon. Once these were fixed the bike really sings and I absolutelty love riding it. I rode the RE Shotgun 650 a few days ago and the 650 twin engine in this 2024 iteration was spot on and sounded oh so sweet and I was quite tempted to put down my money (but my NX500 is on it's way). I rode the Himalayan 450 two months ago and the engine sounded like crap and the valvetrain clatter was unbearable. So ... inconsistent perhaps and that's something that needs to be worked on before dumping them on customers and telling them that that's how it's supposed to be. Within tolerances means nothing really. My Speed 400 engine sounded like crap and they claimed that their Bosch audio software did not find anything wrong. When the Bajaj/Triumph engineer came from Pune to Chennai to fix it he was left scratching his head and had no excuse for the noise when he heard it with his own two ears. Anyways...Just my two cents. Safe riding guys. Keep these entertaining videos coming. Thank you.

Hi, I’m the owner of Himalayan 411 BS6. I too had the issue of right side pulling which you mentioned for H452. Informer service centre about this and they fixed it to some extent, but that led to another issue in the cone kit(may be). Now if I leave my hands from the handlebar, it still pulls to the right side, but not like before, but every pothole I ride on, I’m getting a thud noise from somewhere near the cone kit.
