Thanks for covering this topic. There's a common misconception that polyrhythms and polymeters are only for people that play "complex" music. In my teaching experience, I´ve seen students make huge progress in their time awareness, inner clock and overall groove by working on this stuff, even when they don't want/need to apply these concepts when playing. It's a must for any musician despite music genre and style. Great video, keep it up!

Lmao. Came here to get something that might get me closer to Tool Eulogy and the second polymeter example was basically it with less beats on the kick and the hi hat being accented with the ride.

Thanks Eric. My brain to feet/hands coordination sucked. But, "grab your sticks and play this", and boom it sucked just a little less. Also nice to have a break from my paradiddle mayhem. Which was your fault by t way Eric. 🤣✌🍻
