That bed extender is nice to have (for securing cargo close to the tailgate), but a less expensive option would be a truck cargo bar (or "buddy bar"). They cost right around $40 and can be removed easily.
I bought the bed mat before my tundra came in, easily one of the best accessories Toyota sells for these trucks
Getting my bed mat Wednesday. That composite bed is slicker than snot. Absolute must have.
Great suggestions !
Excellent option to use with the bed extender are the mounting brackets that bolt on behind the existing bed mounts rather than drilling holes.
Purchased the bed mat for my 2022 Toyota Tundra about a month ago. Just took a long road trip and this bed mat kept everything in place even when I had to make harsh stops. Definitely a must buy. I’m in the market for side vent deflectors for my 2022 Tundra. Any recommendations?
In Canada the bed mat is part of the package when buying the Platinum. Excellent heavy mat.
Get a ready ramp if you want a bed extender. Doubles as a ramp for motorcycles. Light weight and folds almost flat. I also use it as a bed divider.
I ordered my 22 5'5" with the spray in bed-liner and will pass on the 3 options here but was planning to buy the mat if I stayed composite.
I’ll tell you right. Speaking as someone with the factory spray in liner. NOTHING slides haha it’s more of a point to say that it will prevent things from getting ground down if it’s soft like high end suitcases
the bed mat works great
I had the cargo net in my 2016 Tundra. Downside is it doesn't holdup well after extended exposure to weather and sunlight. Also, hard to access items that fall into the middle from the side of the truck.
I agreement the bedmat is the single most must get item for your tundra bed however for older tundras please watch out for moisture accumulation underneath
What do you think of the decked system of drawers? Looks pretty cool and handy for storage and privacy. Thanks
I have a '22 SR. It came with the utility track at front of bed, but not on sides. They don't seem to have them available yet for purchase for the new body style. Your video, however, shows a nice shot of them around the 5:16 mark. Any idea on when these will be available on 2022+ models?
I have this mat on my crewmax 6.5 bed. I think this is a way better setup with the standard bed with this mat. The spray in bed liner peels too easily with the composite bed. The bed mat is super sticky too and things don't slide around
There still is a spray-in bedliner option from Toyota. I really want to see how it is.
Will the new bed accommodate a fifth wheel set up
Would you get the spray in bed liner? I have the sparky in and bed mat on my 2017. Just wondering if spray in is over kill. Thanks

I have the spray in liner and like it but for the money I’d get a bed matt
I just went to the site and that same bed mat is now at a MSRP of $205.00 with a sale price of $168.00 for my crew max. 🤔
138 plus 75 shipping....205 at a toyata dealer....good tundra liner though,
want a Baton rouge EMS patch for your wall? I can get some local FD ones too.

It would be an honor to add them. Email me at Tundradude34 at gmail
does the bed extender fit with the oem (bakflip) tonneau cover even though rails are relocated?

NEVERMIND, IT FITS!!!! If you have a bakflip or oem Toyota (same thing) I assure you the oem bed extender works, rails do NOT get in way.
Just realized. Tundra grille on your wall and above it, Silverado grille
What do you think about the bed step that Toyota offers?

Mine is automatic with the tail gate and like fine. I haven’t used it much but I’m sure I’ll be glad I have it when needed

Bed step is great. Easy to deploy and return with minimal effort. Tucks away perfect when not needed. I love it.
Where did you buy the bedliner....I cant seem to find it.

@@TundraDude34 It says the mat is 5'5" and my Tundra has a 6' 5" bed x 59" am I looking at the correct item?

@@TundraDude34 Figured it out....your number was ending with SB....Mines a standard size bed thanks.
Now if only they had a bed widener, the truck might be useable to me. Very disappointed in the design of this. By far, the smallest bed in the full size pickup segment now. I'm a carpenter and need to fit sheet products in, some of which are 49" wide. Also, five foot pipe scaffolding won't fit anymore. I'll have to go to a domestic truck next time. Really too bad Toyota is marketing just to the SUV market and not to trades people anymore.
Sparksparts is a joke. They sell items at a discount but then they more that make it up on the shipping. I was going to get the bed extender for $270 but the shipping is $513. Their shipping on anything is outrageous. I got my bed extender from my local dealer for $282 with no shipping charges.
