Installing Recovery Points on a 2022 Toyota Tundra - NYTOP

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video, we install a set of front and rear recovery points on our 2022 Toyota Tundra. We noticed that the new Toyota Tundra did not have any front recovery points, so we added some. Having recovery points in both the front and rear of the vehicle will allow the Tundra to pull someone out or yourself out.

    Fantastic Installation Video!! Thank you. Mine arrives today. Can't wait to put it all together. Side note, It's super easy to take off the whole front grill. I recommend it for the lower plastic bumper and clip removal.

    a video that should have never had to be made, had Toyota done the right thing, the first time.

    I have no idea what the Toyota engineers were thinking. Make an off-road oriented truck with no recovery points…I think in one of the interviews the chief engineer said “We surveyed our customers and this is what they prefer”. LOL I’d love to know who the hell they surveyed. And nice product!

    Nice product. Sad you guys have to spend all this time and money for basic hardware that should be standard on a truck.

    For the front recovery point, would that be cool if Nytop has the version for which the part is sticking out of the front pumper be rotated 90 degree? So we can hang the shackle. Thanks for the video. Would you please show us the approximate dimensions of the rectangular holes if using the original pumper if possible? Thank you.

    The AFE ones are much cleaner and seemingly stronger for the front. The ones for the rear are kinda a waste of money if you have a hitch. Good video though

    If the front recovery points stuck out another 1/2", it would have been better. That way you wouldn't worry about scratching up the front bumper if you had to use a hook

    Does the Metal Hybrid bumper have a slot for front licence plate mount and block heater cord?

  • @vitkobylka6432

    @vitkobylka6432

    Doesn’t look like it, I think you could just add the license plate it if you want to. I believe the dealer needs to drill the bumper to add the block heater cord, at least that is what I’ve been led to believe. Worried that black steel would rust and look terrible after a few years of harsh winters.

    Ordered the rear recovery point. They angled in and had to use washers to get parallel with the bumper. Reached out to the manufacturer and they never replied to my message.

    Finish looks a little sloppy on the bumper. And some larger gaps around the bottom of the grille surround. Little disappointed as I wanted to get this.

    So let me see if I get it right. The whole truck, car or the truck itself that you will recovering will be resting on that aluminum bar that the hooks are bolted on? Really?

    Why would you install those unless you knew that was an approved attached point by the manufacturer… I disagree with this install… I would only have them originally installed from the factory… if you pull on those and it yanks the frame out of whack then it’s on you buddy and or whoever installs these… Ever thought about that?
