3 Must-Do Lifts for Smashing the Sled Pull at Hyrox

Ойын-сауық

Are you looking to dominate the sled pull at your next Hyrox competition? Look no further than this video! In "3 Must-Do Lifts for Dominating the Sled Pull at Hyrox," we'll break down three essential lifts that will help you build the strength and endurance needed to crush this challenging event.
First up is the rack pull, a lift that targets your posterior chain and helps improve your overall pulling power. We'll show you the proper form and technique to get the most out of this exercise.
Next, we'll tackle the sled drag, a dynamic movement that mimics the motion of pulling a sled. This lift targets your quads, glutes, and core, and is key for developing the specific strength needed for the sled pull event.
Last but not least, we'll cover the rope climb, a full-body exercise that requires both strength and technique. While it may not seem directly related to the sled pull, the rope climb helps build grip strength and overall upper body power, which will pay dividends in the later stages of the event.
Whether you're a seasoned Hyrox athlete or just getting started, these three lifts are a must-do for anyone looking to dominate the sled pull. So, grab a pen and paper, and get ready to take notes - this video is packed with tips, tricks, and insights to help you improve your performance and crush the competition!

Want to add some variations instead of rack pulls you can use the trap bar as well. Not everyone has a rope to do leg less climb ropes but if you go to a commercial gym most have a rope machine you can use to practice and get stronger forearms Thank you for this video! I purchased your training Not sure if you have a video about it but I would like to know how the data / times you get after hyrox for each event can help you find weaknesses. I think I watched a video where you explained briefly your times per event

You could tuck the rope under arm, or wrap it around while walking the sled back.

Great video. I’ve found that it’s much quicker for me to do hand over hand all the way. What’s your take on that?

I think it can work really well if you are strong enough. It can work very well for open weight or doubles, but I haven't seen anyone do it very well with the pro weight.

Great video. I'm lucky enough to have a sled at home, but what do you recommend for the sled drag for those who don't, or for gyms where there isn't one? (other than recommending to join another gym!)

Something quad-centric would be best. I would suggestion heels elevated font/goblet squat. You can also develop that the endurance with things like assault bike intervals. But I'd lean heavily on the rack pulls or full deadlifts if you don't have access to a drag.
