💯 looking forward to the next video
Great info I’ve been with Evans for about 3months also , freight has been ok just the rates to me are the problem but they keep me moving.
Yea it’s definitely slow. I try to get loads closer to my house Lol 😂 work smarter not harder. If I can work a 5 day work week and I’m home daily. Not sure when freight is going to pick up but the py and apm has been crazy at times.
Wait times at the Long Beach ports are torture 😵💫
I'm an Evans corporate employee and I appreciate your honest feedback. Its very interesting to see our driver's perspectives. Been with Evans for nearly 8 years and I hope you can stick with us!
Nice info. Thanks

You're welcome
I really thinking about taking my truck off intermodal because it’s slow and has not been up in quite some time. Low pay for heavy loads is what I been seeing a lot of I’m at Dunavant. Good luck to everyone
👍✌
I just started pulling for Evans out of Jacksonville. Here after two hour’s detention it’s 100 an hour. I’m only two weeks in right now but I can say I know the rates are better than other places in town. Wishing you the best of luck bro.

@@donttruckhere my first two weeks were rough because I’ve never run the ports and had to learn. Third week I grossed over 3k and brought home a little over $2500 and I grossed a little over $2500 for the week of Thanksgiving. I have a day cab also. But I’m setting increases every week.

@@treyveonmoses955 I’m not leaving Florida anytime soon so I have to do what I have to do. I’ve had some strong weeks and some not so strong due to different reasons. All in honestly right now I’m grading it at a C so far. I do see potential but again there’s some politics involved too. I may go do gas but Evans is providing me the ability to live same way I did as a company driver plus better home/work balance than fuel driver so I’m still up in the air. Where you located?
you worked for AIS? you know Jessi? LOL. we're the company with teal Peterbilts. we also repair owner-op trucks.
DON'T GET A SECOND TRUCK.......no,no.HUGE MISTAKE. the money never comes close to the one you drive.
we figure an average truck gets 5 miles to a gallon. when we bid on a job we figure that into the bid. when we had contractors they got all 100% of the fuel money.
I live in portsmouth and been looking at evans and wondering about the company side because I'm in the process of looking to buy a truck. Do they have a year of truck you need? Looking at buying a 2003 Columbia with 12.7 Detroit. Thanks for the video.

I don't think the year matters but the truck has to be able to use electronic logs.

Wassup bro, I live in Newport News & I’m looking to become a local driver. Is Evan Mills hiring as of 2024 for owner ops ?

I don't think they're hiring yet since freighthas slowed down. You should try calling the office and ask when they will start. Same thing happened with me last year
