I have made this before . I usually sprinkled powdered sugar just before serving. Coconut is a nice touch.. You can use grape juice, apple juice, and lemon juice and the kids love it plus they get their vitamin C too.

I was wondering about using other juices too. Grape juice would be really good for those of us who cannot tolerate acidic things. It's so easy! Great for a potluck!

the vitamin c and the healthy properties of honey are destroyed by cooking, but other phytonutrients will still be there.

@@davez5941 It wasn't as sweet, and it was softer than a lemon bar. The consistency, to me, is between a lemon bar and jello. If you like tart, you'll love it.

Very good! Quick and easy for guests. I added more cornstarch when I shouldn’t have. It will all of a sudden become thick so just keep stirring and wait. Light and not too sweet.

If you're a muslim try not to say merry christmas say happy holidays instead. By saying merry christmas you're saying that jesus was born on this day when us muslims believe he isnt born today. You're saying we should celebrate this day becoz of his birth but he wasnt born on the 25th of december

Well, honey IS sugar, so diabetics, please don't believe this doesn't have sugar; however, being diabetic, I am going to try to make this using sugar-free syrup, then I will only have to account for the carbohydrates (turn into sugar in the body) in the juice, cornstarch and coconut. Beautiful recipe is making my mouth water.

I just tried this recipe I did have oranges so I used orange juice and I added up just a little bit less honey and then the cornstarch and it came out really good a little on the tart side I added a little powdered sugar on top delicious thank you for this recipe

What does it taste like or feel like? It looks like a firmer pudding texture from the video. Does it feel like cake? It has a lot of cornstarch, but no weird flour taste?

@@myapinion7532 You could just use sugar, or any other sweetener you like. Fructose would taste the most natural, being a fruit sugar to start with, if you can find it. Possibly you could use some orange juice concentrate for a sweeter, more intense orange flavor without added sugars.

I made it and it came out so good. I used brown sugar instead of honey because my son's partner is allergic to honey. Garnished with fresh strawberries from the garden and a mint leaf. My kids loved it. Thank you so much for sharing. It was so quick and easy 🤗💕

A little of the fruit peel zested in with the juice would intensify the flavor. It could be strained out after cooking, though you would need to press it through the sieve with a spoon or rubber spatula.
