Hey Nate...just got yourself a new fan. It's good to hear you reaffirm some of the things I grew up acquiring and have become habits and now realized these are traits of successful leaders, entrepreneurs, self starters, highly motivated, creative, etc., leaders within themselves. And it's especially true when you find yourself having to reinvent yourself because life took a left turn and you find yourself hanging out with the wrong people making the wrong choices to the point of losing your focus to where you lose your family, your job, your home and everything else you have worked so hard for many years to attain. So now you find yourself homeless, jobless and having to start all over again at the age of 52. So those traits you mentioned are still part of you and have become ingrained in your being. So it's time to pull out those traits and put them to use. It's time to reinvent yourself and it's never too late for that. I'm going through that now and it's amazing how those skills, traits, habits, etc are still there. And no matter how homeless I am, somehow I always find a time to read a book learn a new skill watch a video watch all kinds of videos like right now I'm learning how to read repair and restore my credit I watch videos of those in the last few months I still have that trait in me.

Bad habits 1) Spending first saving later 2) not differentiating between your needs and wants 3) being unsatisfied with your life because of what others have/earn/do/say 4) not focusing on what you like to do when deciding your profession Or focusing only on your passions not the earning potential... there is a balance...5) not doing market research, trusting all sales and marketing pitches (car salesmen, tv advertisement, self help conventions, furniture store sales, job salary offers)

I started doing my budget when I lived by myself not earning any money and had to really administrate all my savings. It is a good habit, and I had a friend whom failed to do this and at some point he did have some sort of serious money issues. I'll still check out your template, maybe it's more practical than my method.
