Where the hell do you think he was? Do you think, like I do, it might be an uncontacted tribe perhaps? I mean.. they have cows. Either from a ship, shipwreck or maybe possibly from a people with some raft ability. It’s conceivable they could like.. tow a cow on a leash lol I’ve seen a moose swim towards an island it would’ve certainly died trying to get to and we had to pretty much tow the beast back to Nova Scotia lol he was off meat cove if you look it up. He was like 2km to an island 5km away. They can swim like 4K max.

I wonder if you can replicate the solar still you made except instead of the leaves, you just fill the hole with the saltwater right there from the ocean, let the sun evaporate the water out of the salt, and have the water condense on the plastic to a point hovering above the water bottle. At least in theory, that would lead to unlimited water because it ain't like the ocean is running dry anytime soon. Plus you'll have salt for seasoning collected at the bottom, so that's a bonus. Which may seem silly on the surface, but one of the biggest challenges a human will face out in the middle of nowhere with nothing to eat, drink, or even a roof over their head is their own mind. If you find any ways, no matter how small, to keep your mind level and your heart rate from being too high, you'll burn fewer calories and you'll think far more clearly, meaning you won't need as much food to survive and you'll be less likely to make dumb mistakes. So little things like having sea salt to season your food with might seem small or unnecessary, but anything you can do to keep your head in the right place makes a huge difference.

I have seen a salt water still made from a steel jerry can, a piece of pipe and a plastic bottle so I think your theory is workable. The trickiest part I can envisage would be rigging the vessel for holding the salt water and making sure it didn't decontaminate your collection of fresh water. Essentially, you'd just need a means to effectively boil large quantities of salt water and collect the steam.

Fresh water can always be found along the sea coast by digging behind the wind-blown sand dunes which back most ocean beaches. The dunes trap rain water, which floats on top of the heavier salt water, filtered in from the ocean.

note in survival situations , DONT RATION YOUR WATER. drink when your thirsty. theres lots of cases of people being lost in like deserts who have died of dehydration while having plenty of water left. the more ya know :D

It may sound weird, but if you're at the point you feel the need to ration your water, it's already too late. You might as well drink until you're sated or you run out. Once you get dehydrated a shot glass of water here and there won't do as much good had you put that into your system earlier.

@@xavier_-_rackliff-_-3409 actually, you don't have to overdo yourself but that doesn't mean you SHOULD ration your water, taking shots here and there won't cut it for your body, it's better to just take a good drink and survive for couple of hours to do it again.

Lol morning glory seeds can make you trip out of you eat enough Also a great survival tip: you can make salad out of pandanas trees, find the centre leaf and pull it out and you can eat the base of it

You can make a water still with a glass bottle filled with saltwater stood in a fire. When it simmers you collect the steam in an upturned plastic bottle. Collect the condensate as it trickles from the plastic bottle. This will produce a lot of water over time.

You could actually get potable water from the seawater as long as you can create a fire. Boil some seawater in the glass bottle and create a top that will cover the surface where the water will evaporate just like how you did when collecting water in the ground and place a collecting bottle at the lowest point of the water that gonna drip down. You might need to repeat the process 2-5 times to get rid of salt completely.

When I was a kid, I readed a book about survival tricks, and it is awesome to see someone doing it in real life.

I’m just saying coconuts are overpowered like food and water god please nerf
