Фильм және анимация

3 cues for how to do a correct push up, cues for protecting your wrists, elbows and shoulders.
There are many ways to do push-ups, this is what we recommend for people who have had shoulder, wrist and elbow issues; as well as a way to engage the muscular chains.

    Ever since I corrected my pushup form like this, I found that I had much more activation on the long head of the tricep, and I believe that they grew from doing pushups this way with elbows tucked in beside the torso. I still find them a struggle, but pushups shouldn't be too easy when it means having bad form. It definitely takes discipline to do pushups this way, and not the incorrect way.

    Happy to find this channel.... you're approach and information really resonates with me... I wonder if you have any suggestions or would be willing to do a video specifically for shoulder rehabilitation and shoulder protection... I have not been doing push-ups on the floor due to wrist and shoulder issues... I've been doing them against the wall... this video was helpful and I would appreciate this more in-depth information... I have torn rotator cuff tendons on both shoulders... one is so torn it will require surgery, the other one hopefully I'll be able to rehabilitate with out... thank you, if you're able to address these... and, thank you for what you to empower people to help themselves 🙂🤙

    Hey. Intresting take ! What i find the most uncommon about it is the straight, vertically static forearm. I tried your variation and recorded myself to make sure it was correct, and felt a lot more activation in the shoulders, with a lot less on chest, and a little on triceps. Im honnestly not too sold and would rather press vertically to train the shoulder, although i can see how this might have some joints health benefits if properly done

    Hello! Dr. Lance, thank you very much! you are the only one help me about push up. When I push up lower than 120 degrees, I feel my elbow pain. Then I do what you do about push up, my elbow don't feel pain. Thank you! I have one question. This motion requires the feet to move body. Does this motion mean we use less strength to push? For example, I push 150 pounds of body weight during traditional push up. I push 120 pounds of body weight during the push up that you suggest to do.

  • @yeahtb3825

    @yeahtb3825

    This push up make our shoulder and elbow less stress. If human don't have shoulder and elbow pain, they should not do this push up. It is because this exercise cannot increase people's strength. If human cannot do 1 push up, they should do this push up. So this exercise is only available for too few people. This exercise is like push-up (on knees). You never improve strength through this exercise because your feet help your body to push up. Your chest, shoulder and Triceps Brachii only use too few strength to push.

    Try to learn how to push up on your knuckles. Keep your pinkies slightly pointed in. ( Think of a triangle formed by your hands and centre of your chest ) This will keep your elbows in so they rub the side of your body. If you watch people doing ordinary pushups from the front, you will see their wrists rock from side to side. this will cause damage over the years. In this video he mentions punching. You don't punch with your elbow's sticking out.
