3 Crafty Ways to Challenge Negative Thinking
Challenging someone's deeply ingrained negative ideas can very often lead to argument and one thing you may have found in therapy is that no matter how true a compliment may be, a client with low self esteem can always find a way to dismiss it.

Thanks for the video! These are some great tips that I'll try on myself (although I'm not sure I can come up with my own metaphors). 2:55 I think that tip #1 would be better titled "Acknowledge before disagreeing". The example was not agreeing that the client was a lousy mom, it was acknowledging her feelings instead of dismissing them.
Thanks for your time and wisdom. I wish I could use your help in person but I am still grateful.
Brilliant 👏 tysm ⭐️

You are a genius. Your videos and techniques are very useful, and also you describe them really well.

Thank you for this :) I actually had my mind blown by this, because I LOVE metaphors!

I would like to know how and why do always think of death. This constant thought gives me severe fear and pain in my mind. This trauma has been caused my hearing that my father may have died last year. I suffer with severe frontal and reverse pain and dry tongue
