3 Carriage X’Trapolis Ventures Out West

In this video, we get a daylight viewing of a 3 carriage X’Trapolis train making its way to Williamstown, Newport and then Southern Cross. Interestingly, 3 carriage X’Trapolis Trains cannot run in service on the Cross-City Group, making a rather unusual sight. Moreover, the Shunt and Redock move with drivers in both cabs at Newport caught a few eyes. Cheers to the friendly drivers. Hope you enjoy the video!

The only way that 3 car x'trapolis trains can run on the cross-city group in service if SPOT monitors are installed in the middle of each platform on each station
I don't like it when they call us customers. They're our trains on our railway.

I don’t know if you know this, but do you know why like half the trains going towards Sunbury terminate at Watergardens?

not many people use diggers rest and sunbury.

Passenger demand. Don't forget you can take a V/Line train to Sunbury too
