Momentum will help you train more consistently & become stronger and more athletic in a way that will have you feeling good on and off the trail. With over 60 follow along routines, 10 training categories & 3 Momentum programs to choose from you’ll have the flexibility to train when and how you want.
The mountains are a complex environment that presents many unique challenges for our bodies. Straight up and down movements form a good basis, but adding rotation will improve your movement quality and help your strength transfer to the mountain environment, whether you're a hiker, mountaineer, alpinist, trail runner or rock climber.

This is a really helpful video, thank you! ☺️ I have MS and my balance is terrible. I’m certainly not going to be climbing any mountains; heck, I fall a lot just trying to move around the house! But these are still achievable for me with the variations you included, and really good for developing that awareness of your body. Much appreciated Chase! 🙏🏻

I just mostly do intermediate yoga 90 mins a day.. absolutely life changing. I remember watching a video on this channel about doing a deep squat instead of sitting on camping chairs, and another on unlocking your hamstrings. Now I can comfortably do binds while in an advanced modified skandasana

Deadlifts and squats were crucial part of my loosing fat and getting in shape journey. Now after 5 years, and a baby, and less free time, I see more value asymmetrical movements. They require less weight, or not at all. They help with many daily movements - climbing, running and playing with kids. Thank you for your hard work.

Same for me. Deadlifts are a good exercises. If you don’t don’t have equipment then maybe attempting the path to a full Nordic. I also appreciate these exercises because it’s about stability and less about a workout. If I were to compliment his exercises it would be incorporating the McGill big 3, worlds greatest stretch, goblet stretch and prayer stretch.

@@scott-hr3hd I have a chap olimpic bar at my home gym and do deadlifts. They are great and recommend them to everyone. They are great if I have no time for exercise. In 10 min I can do "something" after doing laundry :) The more spare time I have the less I do them. Then I prefer to go fancy :)

Great video; thanks so much! I love the encouragement to take pressure off of oneself in the way one thinks about the exercise and how you back that up by offering regressions. Also, do you happen to be in Banff? I couldn't tell for sure but I thought those mountains looked kinda Banffy. ☺️🙏🏻

Hello, please reply this question; Will this be implemented in the basic training course you offer? I don't remember the name but it is the cheapest which are basically an introduction to the serious one. I did it before i did the NPL trail and was immensely pleased with its userfriendliness and are wondering if it gets updated/improved with this or nay, perhaps i'll buy the course over again since i need the home improvement.

Elements is a great program and I don’t plan to fix it if it isn’t broke, I’ve added the full routine with these movements to the momentum membership

Another benefit of falling in the 2nd exercise is that it engages all the little foot, leg, and core muscles that are needed for balance. At least, that is what I tell myself!

Hi mate. In your programs that you have put together, are any aimed at / do-able by - very unfit people over 60? Im fairly flexible. Used to be a runner /long distance bike rider and did the gym. (35 years ago lol !). Ove done yoga a fair bit over the years. But injuries (not caused by yoga) stopped me doing it, because I found that the yoga instructors weren’t versed in injury management, so i started getting more damage to those injured parts of me. And i also shut down over the last few years due to psychological problems. So…. I am slim, reasonably flexible, but far from strong or fit, and nursing a knee that needs replacing in a few years. (But maybe with stronger muscles supporting that knee, who knows-might be able to go without the operation for longer. I dunno). What I want is to dance, and go camping bushwalking as i age. No great athletic desire- i don’t want to break any records-just to be able to ballroom dance and walk the Grampians (and hopefully Tassie’s wilderness once). AND !!! -vitally important!! - i want ti have balance as i age. I have now net enough people my age to 80s, who have bad balance, etc and they fall. Are your programs-honestly mate- accessible to someone my age and beginning fitness again for the first time in many years?? Thanks heaps mate. Greetings from Melbourne (moving to Warracknabeal soon)

Absolutely, I help people to start where they are at now. As always a personalised approach is best, but this momentum membership is the next best thing because we now have 3 different programs to follow. One of which is called “Align” which is designed to help you calm the nervous system, gain a deeper awareness of your body, and start moving again from a base of zero. I would say that you are perfect for that align schedule.

Yoga doesn't work without base. Muscle base and conditioned tendons are as needed as aerobic base. Sadly no pleasant or easy way building it, aerobic base is about half a year of suffocating in zone 2, untill your chemistry adapts oxygen intake, strength base is progressive weight training for 1-2 years, depends. Once you have it, you can get very creative with functional training to maintain and fine tune the base. Before you dont', well, you dont'.
