@@bomapdich Tatiana her character is probably based on the books Pan Han I don't mind the character because she's a way to propel the story faster but I feel they would have done the original story a bit more justice if they eased into the story a bit more.The book is so loaded with information and the world lore is so deep. but I guess for the mainstream audience there are trying to go for a less slow burn as the Tencent adaptation did.

they really did such a good job! For example, few people have (in my memory, at least) delivered the absolutely abyssal death-stare so well as Ye Wenjie's younger version in the first episode.

@@NewAeonWarlord she's really a great actor and does the role justice. even if they cut the backstory plot of Ye Wenjie short. she didn't have a lot of time to make us feel something as the audience for her ut she pull's it of even in the first scene where her father get's ended infront of her.

Can I just say the actor playing ‘Sophon’ nailed her AI accent perfectly. All of her lines were cold yet badass in a way

well they could have given her more screen time if they follow the original story plot where she really had to work her way back up and learn to earn there trust again in her I won't spoil too much for the case you ending up reading the book but it's a shame they probably had to cut it for time sake because otherwise they would have went over there episode limit and budget.

I can’t understand why people always make the comparison between violence and sex. Have we not already settled the myth that violence in media does not make people who watch it want to be violent?

Wow, so fascinating to hear Rosalind describe the button moment, saying Ye feels like a hero. In my interpretation of the book, I'd say Ye doesn't care one was or another in that moment: she feels that one way or another, humanity will get what it deserves. Or put differently: maybe Ye is consciously hoping that the aliens will save us, but I can't help feeling that she knows, on some subconscious level, that there's risk that they'll destroy us instead, and she represses the that sense because to some extent, she just doesn't care. Like, I think there's deep bitterness in her, not just naive hope. So, knowing that Rosalind was playing her as a true believer, at least in that moment, really informs how I interpret the show now.

no Ye thinks there gonna conquer us she thinks of conquering like the the Great Khan did as in if you bow and pledge allegiance give up your land you will be spared. In my opinion she wasn't aware of them wanting to eradicate us and make us all go extinct in the process.

I LOVE how invested they all are. It gives a good feeling to me as a lover of the books that they honor the original but also love their adaptation. I think they did a great job and can’t wait for the next season!

The mass hallucination scene is nuts when the eyeball starts blinking. The entire world is dosed with acid and its NOT a good trip man.

Liam Cunningham is suuuch a baddass. Epic actor but also a top, empathetic, lovely man in real life. He's spent the last year speaking up against the genocide in Palestine, using his platform more than any other actor I've seen.

There's a future version of me that has watched all three seasons and really envies the younger me who still has them to look forward to. Well I'm that version, future me! So ha ha! Honestly the stars flickering was badly done, but the sophon was epic.

Dehydrate is what the aliens do when they have to wait until a stable era comes around again. While dehydrated they do not notice the passage of time. In this case it is fans of the show wanting to skip the waiting for season 2 to arrive.

It is a very complicated, deep and interesting story HOWEVER the show seems not delivering it. Not sure how but it’s failing

if you didn't read the original book, the drama looks cool, but if you did, it appears to come short of expectation somehow. the cast was brilliant regardless.

what take away from the immersion is Eiza Gonzalez. There s no way a breakthrough scientist would look anywhere remotely like her. Also what are the chances that 5 equally brilliant people also happen to be close friends with each other? Most geniuses are loner and weirdos. This aspect of the show is too convenient
