I don’t agree on that, this video talks about 30-40s . We have family kids and job … if we spending 10hours in job and 8 hour in sleep .. 6 hours left … that is just enough for family and taking care of self health… where laziness comes in thi busy schedule
1. Second income stream 2. Advise from mentor 3. Delegating the work

Perfectly said add on to that, never sit with a comfort zone that also gives you a hard time, moreover love your job not company.. between 30 to 40years is very important phase to any one who is working in a corporate field..

@@CareerTalk I'm 39 and working as FE developer but I'm sick of this corporate culture where I have to come out of project every 3 months to attend internal/client round of interview to get into another Project. This repeats every 2 to 3 months. No saving nothing, no own house. Now my questiont to you is, what do you suggest to grow to next level. I see managing teams as technical/program manage is the only scope to escape these interviews but unless some manager give a promotion to you to become a sub-group manager it's not possible. Please share your though on this, whether it's good to stay in service company or product company. And how you are generating second streams of income now? And also create a video about savings, investments and other information (we can find so many video but I would like to see a video from a technical perspective ) who works in IT

Thanks for the video
Thank you very much for sharing this
Excellent sir, even i looked back and feel the same.
Excellent video.. good info
Days have changed, during 2005-14, i have seen genuinely good guys in technology becoming complacent with just 5 years technical background to become a program manager, delivery manager etc. They said they have learnt enough of technology and now would suggest USA, Japan, Europe what the technology would look like in next 50 years. Cut to 2023, now guys with 20 years experience need to be billable in customer projects or they get kicked out. No more posing as guru or managing 4000 freshers would help. Another disaster for the technical guys were to get too much obsessed with domain knowledge, like getting Insurance domain, Retail domain certification deviating from core technology. The moment insurance specialist get shifted to say Burger King project, the entire domain knowledge goes to drain
Thank You for teaching this
Well said. Especially point no.1 is very important to know for everyone

A side income is always good . Apart from my job I started creating udemy courses last year but didn't got any paid enrollments. We all lack patience, results always take time. I started creating more useful courses without thinking about income and after 8 months i have 3 paid courses published on udemy and reached 200$ till now. 200$ are not much but as a side hustle i think so that's a good start and also i give offline tutions too for kids in my colony. Once can start anytime sooner the best

Thanks Sir...i think i m here at right time.
On a side note, i personally dont think these are mistakes,,..u enjoyed doing all these in ur own way; and thats what matters the most.. and that defines one's personality and one's happiness..in other words, sometimes more productivity or more time saving does not mean more happiness😀its just doing things in ur own way;;;;but thank you for sharing sir..its always great to hear to ur experiences🙂
very informative, almost doing same mistakes
Thanks a lot sir.
Thanks for sharing 🙏
5th mistake. After 40s we need to take the spiritual path. We are here for max 20 to 40 more years. Realise this fact. Take care of your health. We need to realise that we will not achieve much in remaining time. And even if we achieve death is going to take away everything. So be thankful for coming this far in life with such a good intelligence that you produced and watched this video. Which means you can realise what went wrong even when you never planned for it. Use 2nd order thinking and extrapolate what could happen in next 10 or 20 years. Excellent advice to all fellow travellers in life. Thank you.

Very true, at present (46) am in a job out of my core skill area (thanks to covid19), very basic - creating tickets and doing it just to survive economically. Thus two things are important a good mentor/boss at a young age and a partner- never had.
Thank you sir🎉
Excellent bro
Hi Anand, today I watched your video for the first time and its very informative. By the way, I work as a project manager in a pharmaceutical company and I am pretty much happy with my career progress. As you suggested in the video, I too want to have a mentor with long visibility. Could you give me some tips on how to find the right mentor.... Thank you so much.

Not everyone is financial savvy in doing the right investments or have the entrepreneurial skills to start generating a second income, or even if they do all might not succeed. With my 16 years of experience, even im a bit confused. I know I'm not smart, but personally I feel it is good to invest in building your skills and expertise and not mention focusing on your health care, both are really important to have a sustainable future in your life. After all, if you have good health and a learning aptitude it should help you to survive even in your b older years
Sir plz don't stop making videos. These are really helpful.

Hundred and Two?
The point number 1: Second income stream is the thing I want tell something about. You can take that as secondary interest other than job. For example I was facing some ups and downs in 2009 year. I had brought "Vedic Mathematics" book as a side interest. I did not pay much attention to that at that time. Now that in 2023 after layoff I feel I should have paid some interest to Vedic Maths so that by now I could have at least taught some people. Anyways I have taken interest now.
Thank you, thank you krishna rao from bringing this out. I think 80s born can rekate to this position. I'm into same position of project management/PM role
Thanks 🙏 SIR

Sir, Really great advice from you, I consider you has my mentor. I was searching answers for all these questions and you have provided right advice. I like to share your videos to other folks as well. Please continue with such videos it is of great help to IT community.
Hi, I couldn’t agree more on all the points you brought in. However my question is specifically to mentorship. As a software developer what are the indicators to look for as a requirement for mentor?
Before delegating , isn't it better to learn yourself? That's the first thought which comes to mind when deciding to delegate (the risk of under/over estimation)
Enlightening message !! Sir a lot of times i have heard that it's better to be a master of 1 particular skill or task rather than ordinary at many things -as per the saying goes "Jack of all trades but master of None "so my question was will it be beneficial to work in a small company as a specialist or in a large company as generalist ? In terms of making more money at faster rate bcoz the problem is there is a fixed growth in top companies in a normal routine. So how to break the chain & rules to achieve exceptional growth without getting stuck in age old career ladder corporate system that offers not much to the employees but works for the owners very well..
Yes...I do agree

Nice points. Also the challenge part is that to concentrate on second income and parallelly manage your job , when we don't have much time and tired with house and office work.

Yes, it is a challenge we understand that, so one needs to take small baby steps in that direction. Key is to have focus and make small efforts for long term.

@@CareerTalkwhat are some possible options for second income in India?
Sir, I have question, Career in my 30s and 40s , I have took pause in the career deliberately to transform a path from QA Lead to Scrum Master for which I had worked earlier.. ...In short, should we consider career pause as mistake or not ? As my pause are getting longer I am worried now. Thanks in adv.
This video is worth a million. You are awesome sir. I wish you should be my mentor 🙏

Mistakes in 30s and 40s 1. Not creating a separate income stream 2. Not finding a mentor or a accountability partner 3. Not considering deligate/outsource/automate work 4. Failure to take action when needed
@CareerTalk
11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the summary Sourabh :)
When you're young, it's a wise choice to save as much money as possible. Additionally, it's worth considering avenues for secondary income. In my personal opinion, not everyone can become a CEO or manager, so there's no need to be concerned about others. Instead, stay focused on your job and your work. I'm currently 44 years old and in a technical lead role at my company. While I can't control the longevity of my career, I believe I'm doing a good job. The period between 40 and 50 is a critical stage in life, and it's essential to think about how you'll spend your life after 50. In my case, I'm planning to move to my village. I purchased agricultural land and built a small house without taking any home loans. For the past three years, my family has been in the village, where we've been able to reduce our expenses significantly. Now, I'm relocating to Chennai for my kid's education.
Nice video.

Sir this is a fantastic concept, but some company has Clause that employee can't do any secondary income like business or any other jobs or teaching... Please suggest what to do in such cases
@CareerTalk Excellent suggestions. Can you suggest some example of youTube and Instagram automation? Where do you find the person who could edit videos for. you ?
Regarding point no 2. How to find such mentors?
to do, what to do??? who will tell..dont know..but i want to do something.
