@@roden70 I don’t find it to be overly oily, but it definitely leaves that slightly sticky “glow” on the skin that may be undesirable if you already have more oily skin. I have really dehydrated skin so it works well for me. If your skin can handle traditional vitamin c, I’d def recommend the Mary & May Vitamin C + Bifida lotion!! However, Dr. Dray is not a huge fan of vitamin c because she believed it's a great ingredient in theory but you are still taking a huge gamble as to whether it provides any further benefit as an other anti oxident such as niacinimide so she goes for niacinimdie...she also said the skinceuticals would be the one she would go for if she had to use a vitamin c because they have the most research and data behind that product

Yes! What you said about the 'problems' with vitamin C formulas is 100% true for me. I tried to use the Ordinary's 8% vitamin C, 2% alpha arbutin and I absolutely hated the formula. It made me flush, it heated up my skin for minutes and the oil just sat on the skin. I used up the whole bottle and I think I saw some improvements in my skin, but I won't buy it again. My other problem with finding skincare in general is that I don't make any money yet, so my budget is very limited. So I just use Ordinary's products and some drugstore products that are availible for me (in Europe). And I managed to fing a vitamin C formula that I actually like among those drugstore products, which I'm very happy with

I’m so happy that it worked wonders for you! But yes, using it along with Tow, it might be a little bit much, especially since the tretinoin is oil, soluble and the pycnogenol is an anhydrous solution meaning that it is more of an oily base. This could potentially mean that the tretinoin really gets comfortable in that oily solution, and perhaps penetrates deeper or differently. Great job, isolating your variables, and doing one thing at a time to help any irritation! So proud of you.

My go to vitamin c is educated mess golden hour. It was specifically studied on sensitive skin with no issues. The gold and glutathione complex also fully stabilizes the vitamin c, and increases penetration and efficacy while making the vitamin c way more gentle. It’s kind of a paradoxical complex in a sense but when you read into how it works it makes sense and obviously isn’t a real paradox.

After using riceberry face serum by litttleextrra for three weeks, here's what I experienced: Benefits: It successfully softens and evens out the skin, giving it a gentle glow. I've also seen a decrease in my genetic dark circles (avoiding the eye area is recommended). It has also helped fade dark spots on my sister's skin. Downsides: Personally, mine is dry and dull skin, and using the serum every day exacerbated my dryness. I recommend using it thrice a week along with a effective moisturizer to prevent dryness. I haven't seen any noticeable improvement in bronzing or skin tone issues in first 3 weeks. Update 2 months later: After nearly two months of consistent use, I regard it my go-to serum. It has started showing promising outcomes. My skin glows, dark circles lessened, and dark spots reduced a lot. So patience is key when using this face serum.

Oh no! This is really great for me to hear. Do you have generally acne, prone, or breakout from skin? Oily or dry? It’s really good to hear about the pycnogenol. I know it is an anhydrous solution (no water solution) so it can be a bit oily and I could see the rest of the formula, causing some breakouts in those that are super . There are other picnignol products, such as the pine one from urban&and that may be better if you want the benefits without the breakout. Still I’m so happy you shared this with me! Really helps me understand different skin perspectives, and make the right recommendations for those in need.

I've been very fascinated with the uses of rice water, but I'm a bit skeptical of buying it (both for the prices of something that seems relatively easy, and because of the marketing of these products - there's always something added, sometimes it's just a diluted idea of a product than the product itself). Been a fan for years, started my skin journey almost 6 years ago because of you!

It’s so wonderful to have you here beautiful! Six years of amazing skin care, knowledge, and dedication to your health and beauty is amazing and I’m so proud of you! And when it comes to rice water, I love a few things about it. Of course, the history, but there are other medical studies that have shown benefits. As you said, there are so many different products out there that claim to have rice water, but I don’t believe all are created equally. if you want to, of course make it yourself, and it’s a DIY that I don’t absolutely hate. But even with purchasing products, there are a few that I think are worth it. The glow recipes is great because it has some rice water as well as other fermented ingredients. There are also products from Goodal that are rice focused. I know that rice water is also in quite a few Beauty of Joseon products and are good. I wonder if I could put together a list for you!

And it’s totally fine to use a vitamin C serum and moisturizer along with the glow recipe. Like my skin was smooth as fuck, as I also used retinol and other actives, but not only do I have very sensitive and reactive skin, I also got diabetes type 2, which breaks havoc on skin. I thought I had Rosacea. fungal acne etc, but found out it’s the diabetes which has overlapping symptoms and because people with diabetes has lower immune system it’s way easier to get infected by viruses as well as yeast/fungi. So now I know why for the past 3-4 years nothing has worked for me in regards to skincare and I’ve tried them all. I subs to the majority of all these skin channels on YT, so tried European, Korean, Japanese and American skincare brands and products everyone has been raving about, but sadly it only ruined my skin, or resulted in flare ups and eruption. Pre diabetes I had only sensitive normal combination skin, and I could out on anything without any reactions unless mineral makeup, green tea, lemon/citrus or alcohol.
