Both of them have different roles. The Columbia Class Submarines are meant for firing nuclear tip ballistic missiles while the Virginia Class Submarines are meant to hunt and attack enemy submarines and surface warships. In short the Columbia Class Submarine is a doomsday submarine.

Ohio-Class and Seawolf-Class are bigger. What is the special sauce? Manuverability.

That torpedo room picture is not for Virginia class submarine. The real one is a lot bigger and a lot nicer design. It seems this video took it from WW2 old submarine some where.

For more missile and torpedo launch US has Ohio class submarine, the first 4 Ohio class submarines now can fire upto 150 tomahawks missile, that's more than Burke or Zumwalt class destroyers can fire.

We need more advanced ordnance.

Ohio class 'boomers' are 170m in length. So you are correct. And you see boomers going into/out of Bangor Trident base.

We do have much larger subs. And when one walks in a Virginia class sub then onto an Ohio class they will immediately feel/see the difference in size and space 😂

The problem with us submarine is that no matter how new they are they are limited to using old weapons. There is very little in the way of new weapons unlike the Russians who introduce new cruise missiles or ICBMs everytime they launch a new sub nowadays.
