    I'm a South Korean and all South Koreans like me are thanked to the great country, Ethopia. Haile selassie sent the greatest royal guards army to save our country at Korean war. And they recorded the best fight ever in our history and saved our ancestors. We will never forget the greatfulness. Thanks, Ethopia!

    History is unfair. Belive me. While historians read and gak at Roman,Greek,Asia Minor and Egyptian history. There is many cultures and civiliasations that are left out in the World. Like the Celtic,Germanic and Nordic. To the many aincient African and Asian Kingdoms. With only a few bits bein mentioned.

  • @venus_envy

    @venus_envy

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@blackbladeszoro2984 It has a lot to do with education being Eurocentric, and modern Europeans thinking of themselves as inheritors of only Greek/Roman/etc. civilizations, whilst forgetting that those places regarded other Asian and African empires as worthy trade partners/formidable opponents. But that conflicts with a 'Greeks invented civilization' worldview, so they don't teach it. They also tend to portray all Greeks and Romans as white, when that was surely not the case. Written records or lack thereof contributes, but remember, Ethiopia had a writing system in use since 950 BCE, that's just 300 years after the Trojan War, for reference. That's a lot of writing, but I don't remember learning about D'mt or Aksum at all when I was in school. Text book only had European history with the exception of Mesopotamia and Egypt.

    The Ancients Ancients hahah you have clearly never read history. Ethiopian fought 4 wars against the Persian empire and 3 of them resulted in victory, this happend simultaneously as Aksum fought the kush empire/Nubia (this kingdom managed to defeat Rome and Egypt) it got annexed an Aksum expanded its borders further north. Being a Christian country it had to defend itself from several Muslim attacks. From Sudan Yemen Arabia and Somalia and it managed to defeat all of them. Later on in 1800 century Egypt Got together with America (as stated in the video America=britts) to take over Ethiopia but it got totally destroyed. If weren't for Islam, Ethiopia would probably the most technological advanced country in Africa probably rivaling Europe. To be honest Somalia has never had a kingdom before the Arabian invasion of east Africa. It was only after the rise of Islam and the Arab invasion you got protected as a Muslim country you could do something.

Eritrea is actually western Tigrai, (watch on KZread Ryot video channel hosted by Tedros Zegaye an interview with Ato Rezene Habte) The name Eritrea derived from Mare Eritrea which was the name given by the Romans to the Red Sea.Your history is the same as that of Ethiopia, after secession you lost your past history due to false narration, lies told by Schabia bandits leaders.So, check what I told you ask older Eritreans.

Also Its funny to see Ethiopians trying to act as if they are only saying this because they want to unite and be one again as if its some kind of noble goal of a unified identity. When the real main reason is because now they realise they are landlocked and have no access to the red sea. Should have thought about that before selling us to the Italy to be colonized, making us second class citizens and deporting our people out of the country while stealing our belongings. No Eritreans want to go back to being treated like dirt.

They became one of the first Christians in the world. They spread Christianity as far as China, India, Russia, Ethiopia too, and possibly Japan as well. And survived centuries of persecution under Islam. Fun fact, did you know most Iraqi Christians aren't Arab? We still speak Mesopotamian Aramaic with a more modern dialect called 'eastern syriac'. @@Tes-qe1jc id love to visit ethiopia❤. Its one of my dream destinations. Ethiopia has got a brilliant history of being masters of trade, cuisine, textiles, ofcourse religion, and most importantly,architecture. There's an entire cross shaped church Ethiopians chiseled out of a mountain, which fascinates me. And i have an ethiopian friend who introduced me to eskista dance. Although ive been doing martial arts fir quite a while, eskista can be a real challenge for newbies like me. The shoulder to elbow coordination is very tricky and the upper body flexibility gets tested to the limits. Not easy at all, and it can be very confusing for someone trying it for the first time. I think it takes years of practice to master the art, and thats what I appreciate the most about it.. It takes practice to coordinate those subtle movements and synchronise that with the rhythm of the background music(which is another, whole different challenge to master the beat of Ethiopian folk rhythm). In a way, I'm discovering some of my roots and Im glad I discovered my partial Ethiopian genetics😊. Its interesting how a culture evolved on its own, and yet has got some major historical influences on one of the most popular religion(christianity). And that's why I love Ethiopia. Honestly speaking, I searched for a video about ethiopian history; this video didn't just randomly pop up in my suggestions. Hope more people from my state in India recognise Ethiopian culture, its beautiful.

    What on God's earth is going on?? Do not put a pentagram over the country of Ethiopia! Is that literally the country's flag?????? A pentagram?? The last country, the tribe of Judah, to have the bloodline of Christ and they use a pentagram!!!!!! This is an abomination unto the LORD GOD JEHOVAH!! Witchcraft!!!! The true bloodline ended with Prince Alemayehu and his father, Emperor Tewodros, was murdered by old Victoria's henchman, speedy. Disgusting. The usurper royal family, murdered Prince Alemayehu also, when he was 18, so he couldn't return to Ethiopia. Bind it and give it to Jesus Christ Yeshua Hamashiach, Amen.

    @@yng7173 Archeological evidence at the present time could only reveal 3000 years of Ethiopian history. The oldest city they supposedly addressed was D'mt in the northern regions of Ethiopia and Eritrea that goes back to 980 BC which is 3000 years ago. Unfortunately, they haven't done much archeological excavations to study this ancient country. Funding needs to be implemented to continue this work. But the Ethiopian traditions have a king list and prophets of the Bible as well that stem from Adam. Ethiopians can trace their origins all the way back to Shem and even further back to Adam. Just search it online I found a list of all kings and prophets that included Nimrod who was also known as the son of Ethiopia, he lived in 2200 BCE which was over 4000 years ago. I believe these traditions because they have the very first Bible that was handed down to Moses in Mt. Sinai in 1500 BC written in Geez (ancient Ethiopian language.) This Bible only has the first 5 books of Moses. It's called the Written-Law Ethiopic-Orit. Then the Babylonians in Israel the Jews wrote their variation of this Ethiopic-Torah (Written-Law) and called it the Tanakh (Hebrew-Bible.) The Ethiopian Written-Law is the authentic one handed to Moses by God himself written in the oldest Hebrew language or sometimes called Biblical-Hebrew which equates to Geez (ancient Ethiopian language.) Geez is the oldest semitic language, and the oldest variation of Hebrew.

    What the Greeks called Ethiopia and modern Ethiopia are not necessarily the same. The ancient Greeks referred to people who were darker than them as Ethiopians, that included Indians. Some references say she is Indian, others say she was light skinned despite being surrounded by people who were darker, so who knows. One thing i know is that we Ethiopians don't have a legend about such a person in our country but there is a similar story in Hindu legends.
