    This is the 3rd video of yours that I have watched. I learned something by you using an old credit card to spread glue. Good ideal. You did a very good job on this cabinet.

    I also use old CRedit Cards for many uses.....esp for scrapers when cleaning delicate surfaces like furniture, fiberglass showers, and instruments....but I never tried CCs for spreading glue....looks like it works GREAT

    Yeah, it is really handy and leaves a very uniform thin coat. Plus when it comes to cleaning it (unlike roller or a brush) you just peel the dried glue away and you can reuse the card.

    Question, how did you secure the baffle board to the box? It came out really good!

    Thanks! Yeah, I didn't film that part, usually I just use several screws like Fender and screw the board to the cleats from the inside of the cabinet.

    Have you ever tried a 1/4" ply for the baffle board?

    I don't remember using it, I think 3/8" was the thinnest I've used, but I find 1/2" to be the most practical. Of course it depends on the the size of the speaker(s) as well. If you are planning on using one 10" speaker then it might be ok, but if the you have 2x12 I don't know how it would behave.

    @@jamescourt2842 I am not sure what you mean exactly. If you mean the round holes for the speaker, check my round hole jig video, it's probably more clear there.

    @@jamescourt2842 Make sure to drill a hole in the center exactly as the thickness of a screw you will use and when making a mark on the side of the router bit, make sure that the hole line is just touching the outside of the router bit.

    Why do you paint the baffles on the inside?

  • @Delatsch

    @Delatsch

    4 жыл бұрын

    I've made the back out of three separate strips of plywood, so you can remove one or two or all three for an open back cabinet etc. So once the back is off the dull plywood makes the interior really look bad if not painted.
