For a party, I'd take the Boombox, without hesitation. Sometimes having the (2) Xtremes in party mode isn't very reliable. Because when you switch songs sometimes the connection cuts out between the two speakers.. which can result in an embarrasing moment.. 🤷

Hi, i have just purchased and tested two jbl extreme, and i must say That two speakers really lift the experience to a new level. The Only bad thing must be the quite short range When used together. It feels like the max range is about 4-5 meters between the speakers. However i belive this have been fixed in the new jbl extreme2 speakers. What is the max range between the speakers of jbl extreme2?

Xtreme 2 is so much better! My previous speaker was an Xtreme 1..... the battery of it died and Xtreme 1 is only splashproof. Xtreme 2: Full ipx7 waterproof and I think it has a better bass at all :D

Xtreme 1. The Xtreme 2 has *slightly* less bass and max volume but better balanced mids and highs. And it's IPX7. Although the Xtreme is near half the price. The Xtreme 2 is better, but for value go for the Xtreme 1.

the extreme two is rated to go as low as 55hz which it doesn't, with jbl it's always 5hz under the real frequency response. The boombox is rated 50hz but its 55, it just does a bit of 45hz but not as loud

I got jbl boombox camo about three weeks ago and Im telling you guys that this speaker is worth the money, it has great highs and mids they are not bad as its said in this review plus it has pumping bass which can be felt in chest. If you can only afford one speaker go with boombox and if you have more money than collect more and buy another boombox xD you wouldnt regret it

I got it for €330. It sounds amazing and if you have a samsung with android 8.0 it sounds so much better. It will have soundalive and dolby digital on it plus an EQ so you can set it to your taste🔥

Mick Venekamp yea 330€ is ok although I don’t wouldn’t pay more than 250-300€ and soundalive works only with headphones Dolby digital is useless on such a speaker and it also doesn’t matter if you have android or iOS if the Bluetooth version good and on iOS the sound is the same the only good thing what you said which is right is that the eq helps but you can do it better

Mick Venekamp i have had 3 Samsung phones and soundalive never worked via Bluetooth just with headphones cause it’s useless on a Bluetooth speaker I know how it works and Dolby might worke but is also useless cause you have just one speaker and no 5.1

I’d say Boombox if you have the money because they compliment eachother quite well and obviously a Boombox and xtreme 2 sound much louder than 2 xtreme 2s
