I have these parts as well and wanted this VVTI GTE front-facing intake manifold setup for a cleaner look, but the VVTI GE factory side-facing intake manifold in the IS300 and other Lexus models have ACIS (butterfly valve in the intake manifold) that makes more power. Everyone who retains the ACIS shows more power on their builds. So it's a matter of a much cleaner look in exchange for the loss of power.

yes the butterfly gives the advantage of changing the runner length and the longer over the engine intake will always be better as the streamlines for the airflow are very smooth. ffim is for packaging purposes. but if you want more power you can always increase compression, timing, boost, fuel injection angle. Anyone interested in the dodo manifold is not looking for a 1500 hp dyno monster. i really cant stand the side intake just for the fact that maintenance is harder. i want my build to be as easy to fix things as possible. one time i had a misfire and with the side intake you cant unplug an injector to narrow down which cylinder. so i took off the y pipe and made a piece of wood to block the giant holes so i could run it with no throttle plate. the ffim will make it to where i would never have to do that again. youre right. its what ever kind of build you want.

@@alexfrench8142 I am only aiming for a 300-350hp unopened 5-8psi VVTI GE turbo build. Ahh I know, I think about swapping over to my GTE FFIM setup every other week, but tell myself I need all the power for my low hp turbo build. Lol

Better choice than the adapter plates that make it hard to close the hoods on the IS and GS.

I would port out those runners to get better airflow as well as the plenum..

Is anyone making nice valve cover replacements for the GE? Something more in the style of the GTE valve covers

Can you use the is300’s throttle body?

You would have to get an adapter. It will not bolt up. Then there would a lot of clearance issues because the is300 is so wide

@@alexfrench8142 hell yeah man I’ve been wanting to run gte mani I bought one a year ago tried to fit it to my car , fit beautifully but it was like 4-5 inches taller then the head so I ditch the idea but hell yeah would I need the lo pro rail or standard

Yes. But it’s the only way to fit a gte ffim on an is300

Cool product but I think I’d rather just grab an eBay manifold for that price
