My two favourite narrowboat people 😀 On the same boat AND in the same video - it doesn’t get much better than this ❤ 🙂🐿🌈❤️ A buttered Hot Cross bun, with a warming cuppa tea would be perfect right about now 🙂 Brrrrrrr it’s cold in Sydney.

Heidi is a hoot, and a most excellent person. I had the pleasure of cruising with her on Hazel the Wellbeing boat. A real pro, she is!

I forget how much I always enjoyed your cruising videos. I guess I need to go back to #1 and start over.

I liked your videos when you had your boat, but I like your videos since you sold your boat, and gone to this way much more. I didn't think that was possible. So much to see and learn. Thank you. One of the biggest benefits is seeing the English countryside by boat, seeing all the different people you interview.

Loved this David. Heidi is a genuinely lovely person with a very watchable channel. I note she kept her usual innuendo under control 😅

I just love the narrow boat pirate. I am so glad you did this documentary. She is such a wonderful lady. Funny also. She's very inspirational for women. I have learned so much about the canals, locks, toe paths. High tunnels and different bridges. I hope to visit your country someday. Just beautiful.

Cool horn but I fully expected her to use the canon as warning to other boaters 😉

Came onto Heidi's videos from David's, and have now gone back and watched 20 or more of hers. I do believe this is the first video in awhile I haven't heard Heidi mention 'Lock j!zz." Or 'wet the lips' with Kraken or Dead Man's Something or Other. I sincerely do appreciate the uniqueness you both bring into the world.

Heidi's engine is one of the cleanest I've seen. She obviously takes good care of it. Nice video David!

I keep watching you pilot other people's narrow boats and know Wreyland was a fine lady for your first. You, sir, will own an electric tiny or short narrow boat. You, like many of us, just can't escape the water and boat life. You just have to find the right fit. I've called it. Put my money down! 😂 You'll improve your house, sell it at a profit, and buy your almost-dream-boat (bc who can really afford their actual Dream Boat?). Keep at it, Mr. Johns. You're doing great!

Am really impressed by The Rum Wench's swimming ability. She may have a 3 foot draft but she moves through the water with hardly a ripple even when up to normal cruising speed and also appears to suck very little water back when going through the Llangollen bridges. A good hull design and build no doubt.

Nice to see you cruising again David even as a guest, I hope you do get another boat and will look forward to watching your vlogs again if you make some, Cruising the Cut was the first ever canal boat vlog I ever watched and got me deeply interested again. 👍

Nicely done. Spoken as a one who appreciates the sound of a Lister. But more importantly, I appreciate your POV in this video. You were able to show more of the day-to-day routine. I enjoyed it.

Delightful on several different levels. Something very comforting, soothing almost about a Lester ticking over like a fine watch. I like Heidi and you 2 together, going to check out her channel.

I’m enjoying watching as you have discovered the joys of simply being a passenger. Occasionally helping out of course, but otherwise enjoying the ride, or getting on with other tasks. There are endless vlogs from the perspective of the pilot/driver, but not much from anyone else onboard - am I making any sense. I don’t know, it just seems like the overall experience of being a passenger/crew would be really different from that of the pilot/driver/captain. VERY different indeed. 🤔 it’s just a thought, but it is glorious to see you discovering the simple joys of just being a passenger.

So glad to see you get out on the canals David, never a landlubber! Rather jealous you got to cruise with the magical Heidi though! Thanks for this, great you're still making canal videos.
