28 uses for the 18v DEWALT DCS355N Oscillating Multi Tool amzn.to/3uN11A9 - Some of the many uses of a powered cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool. These Multi Tools are the most versatile tools that money can buy. The Dewalt cordless oscillating multi tool cuts, sands, scrapes, trims and much more. There are literally hundreds of every day tasks where an oscillating Multi Tool can be useful. I show in this video a handful of uses that I use mine for........but there ARE hundreds of situations where these can be used ! DEWALT DCS355N MULTI TOOL (Bare unit) - amzn.to/3uN11A9
The particular Multi Tool that I use is the Dewalt DCS355N - This tool is one of the best out there due mainly to the quick release mechanism that holds the different blades in place. I can highly recommend this particular model for any one that is thinking of purchasing a multi tool.

    As an electrician that does strictly remodels this is an absolute essential tool. kzread.infoUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI Being able to precision cut any material with a light weight tool is priceless.I upgraded to this Dewalt 20v from a competitor's 12v. The Dewalt 20v is just as light as the competitor's 12v. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and battery life of this tool. As far as oscillators go, they just aren't very ergonomic tools. The dewalt oscillators have an offset handle that do make them somewhat more ergonomic than the competitors' oscillators.

    a cool hack I saw a while back was where someone had attached a standard hooked stanley blade (the type you use for lino and carpet) to his multi tool so it cut on a pulling action rather than a pushing action - seemed a good idea for cutting softer/flexible materials.

  • @Bacrenfencing

    Hi Simon, I just tend to buy blades as I need them for specific jobs. I usually just hunt about on Ebay for good deals. I use wood and plastic cutting blades the most, so just tend to buy packs of 10 and use them as consumables. I spend more on the diamond blades and usually use Dewalt. It really depends on your specific application but for me personally, I just buy cheap packs of 10. Hope this helps ?

  • @Bacrenfencing

    You can use the grout removal diamond blades to cut or notch small tiles but I would not recommend it. It would take far too long. Best to stick with an actual tile cutter or angle grinder for that.

  • @micahned

    @micahned

    You could maybe cut some very soft ceramic with a diamond abrasive blade but tile definitely does not do well with vibration and trying to cut it with a multitool will be nothing but heartache. Even the best cuts won't have a clean edge which is critical. There are tools much better suited for the task. Angle grinder, snap cutter, wet saw, dry saw, tile nippers, etc.

Carpet adhesive is stronger than the fibers on the bottom side of carpet or carpet pad so the first step will always be ripping up the carpet which leaves the glue on the floor. If you're asking if this is the best tool for removing large amounts of glue from a concrete slab then the answer is definitely no, although it could come in handy in corners or under cabinets.
