Level: Beginner
This is a 10 min LOW IMPACT Lower Body Pilates with Ankle Weights. These are optional can the workout can be done without them. This is a wall pilates glutes workout- we use the wall in the way we would use the footbar on a Reformer. This workout contains wall pilates exercises for glutes, including single and both leg exercises. This is an appropriate wall pilates workout for beginners, and wall pilates workout for weight loss, as these exercises can be considered resistance training, which has been shown to be supportive of weight loss goals. This would be a great wall pilates for hips and thighs, as it is all lower body focused. This workout can be done before or after a wall pilates ab workout, and will be part of a 28 day wall pilates challenge in the future!

I did this twice but the second time it BURNED! I absolutly LOVE this workout. I've noticed my bum is getting so much more round and up since i've started the challenge, and all without the back pain that i used to have training the same muscles in the gym. Thank you for these videos!!!

Day 10 done! 2:30 I am amazed how stronger my body is becoming. I look forward to any physical exercise that I do because my muscles supports me to carry out the movements with ease not pain from weakened muscles and joints. Thank you Rachel.
Day 10!! I was a little disappointed when I saw it was only ten minutes, but now I feel like a 10 minute workout with you should be my warning lol So much impact in just 10 short minutes! I loved this workout!

Day 10! I can’t believe it. I still had to modify these quite a bit but my glutes feel worked which is the point^^ Can’t wait to get to day 24 and see how much stronger I’ve become

Wall pilates’ challenge .! Completed. Day24. Beginners. .. my left knee is has been more damaged than my right knee. I keep trying .. I gotta stay in shape. To be flexible, to be able to walk, to maintain good better excellent health posture n form. . I’ve prayed . The pain has gone. It feels fine. Tomorrow we do day25. . Let’s do it !! Cause we can !! Day 10 (4July 2024) Happy Fourth of July!!! Home on time today so an early workout my glutes are definitely feeling it especially after pilates this morning - but motivation is still going strong....have a great day!

Day 10 ✅ In the double digits now. Woo hoo! Those back to back single leg ones followed by the heel lifts are still getting me! Love that we have the option of putting our feet on the ground to bridge, if needed, then getting back on the wall for the next exercise.

Day 10 ✅ 🎉 After practicing for almost 2 weeks now following your workouts, I can see a vertical line stretching from my chest down to my lower belly. I feel my tummy muscles have started to take a shape 😭 So happy!

Day 10 done✅️ 55 yo lady BUT I DID ANOTHER ONE after this video...its the dreaded day 5 ab..the one I couldn't do any full sit ups...if I remembered it was that one I wouldn't have done it so im glad I didnt...when we got there I was like nooooo I'm not trying to feel bad about myself today...so when it came time...I put my feet almost to the floor but still on the wall ...girl I did 3!!! 😭 the 3rd prob didn't count to be honest...not sure if my feet were so low if it counted but I didn't feel like such a failure in the mornings I have time I am going to try and do this one every day or every other im on a mission to do at least one with my legs on the wall the height you have them ...I feel tired even though it was two short videos but feeling good...thanks Rachel my mental health is improving with these videos every day ...I have goals even if it's a dang controlled sit up and getting on my horse without help...its something when I started 6 weeks ago ...I was at a fork in the road...giving up or going forward...so glad I found the road forward in these videos ❤💪

Hi, loving the 28 day challenge but I have a question. I have very tight hamstrings, I can’t flat foot squat at all and even when squatting my heels have a tendency to rise. This also means when I’m bridging up against the wall my heels come up if my legs are at a right angle. I can’t keep them down at all. Does this matter? If I raise my feet to a position slightly higher than my knees on the wall I can bridge up without my ankles coming up but not sure if this is good practice. What would you recommend?

I would say do whichever feels comfortable for u.. I have had people tell me their heels come off when bridging.. but if you feel more stable that way that’s totally fine. You really just want to be up enough that when u bridge u can “open” the hip joint as much possible
Day 24! Any tips for once we finish? I like the little and often and want to keep it up. But wondering if doing the 28 days again will not be challenging enough at the beginning now (hard to remember early days 😅)

You said you'd link some abdo exercised to go with this workout - but I cant find them?! (Im doing the 28 day challenge but keen to do extra - so it would be nice to find what you recommend. I could scroll through all of them to find one that is suitable - but that's a step too far for my motivation!! Need you to tell me what to do... and I'll just do it). They generally are quite gentle but if you don't feel like doing the workout of the day, you can pause and resume whenever you feel ready :)

@rachelsfitpilates oO tha k you so much for your reply, I did feel it was a Sily question, so this is much appreciated i done day 12 today ¬iced at TableTop point out then bring toward head direction I would return to Tabletop then toward head direction - I would push out at the knee joint , I was able to hold at a comfortable state should I NOT do this?😅

It can help build muscle if it’s more than what you were doing before. You can also do more than one workout on a day in the challenge if u want more!
