Such a great cast of actors. A wonderful miniseries about friendship and a nation divided. A lovely tribute and piano melody.

They don't make actors like this anymore so a wonderful mini series like this can never be replicated☹️💔♥️

I loved this show. Sad that these actors are gone. It was an amazing cast♥️

This was a one in a million tv series. It was simply perfect. Kirstie Alley carried a lot of that show for me. Her character was paramount to the show, and her performance was probably the best of her career. I cried like a baby when Virgilia said goodbye to George.

ZDFNeo hat bis vor kurzem einmal jährlich alle Folgen ausgestrahlt. Ansonsten ist die Serie recht günstig als DVD-Box erhältlich.

I'm British and I first watched this when I was at school. The cast was literally like a who's who of acting and with the younger actors, it was just perfect. I loved it. This is where my Interest in American history started, I'm currently rewatching Ken Burns The Civil War.

Same here! 18yo at the time, I lived behind the iron curtain but was able to watch it via West German TV. Didn’t know anyone of the cast, not even Liz Taylor! Now it blew me away to see all the legendary names!

John Anderson was also on "Little House on the Prairie" in the episode "Haunted House"

I have this series on DVD but it's been so long since I've watched it I'd forgotten all the big name stars that were in it. When N & S first hit the airwaves it was the first time I saw Patrick Swayze and fell madly in love with him. 😊

At least that's what the internet is telling me. I don't know when they shot the show or when they started dating, but either this year or next, they will have been together for 40 years! In Hollywood, that's a real accomplishment, which tells us a lot about their character.
