Brooke Shields was marketed as an adult in her adolescence. It became clear then that Hollywood truly pimped people out. I remember the controversy over Brooke when I was a kid: but it happened that way; I was there. They tried to be subtle about it at times, denied it at times but all-in-all, your reaction was the reaction of the world - while others simply overlooked how young she was and ignored it.
