jaspr1999 I live in Australia, so I have to be 18 to drink or buy smokes, I went down and bought a packet of smokes for my mum, this lady for the first time in a while asked for my ID I was so flattered, she saw my licence and and told me I look so young (I was 29) she asked if I was married, and what was funny I was getting married the next day. When visiting the USA on my honeymoon I got asked for ID, which I was still flattered, but what was funny is my husband who is almost 5 years younger never gets asked for ID as he looks more mature and older than myself 😂

After 22 years of working the door, at many different bars, my favorite way of catching a fake ID is as follows. I rarely see someone who has a fake come up to the door by themselves. They are typically the next to last, or last in the group. All I do is ask them if the others if they are together. When they say yes, I ask their friends what their name is. The friends rarely know what the name on their ID is.

Very true, has worked for me a few times lol. Also on certain ID's that i know are super pliable like a Tennessee or Missouri, I enjoy bending the ones i know are a fake corner to corner and watching them snap or fall to pieces. Then i give them the smuggest grin when they bitch about me ruining their license...to which i get to reply "I did ruin it, because a real one doesn't break like that, now get the hell out".

I used to frequent a nearby pub when I was 18 and got to know the bartender but I only went on slow nights. When I went on new years eve she asked me if she'd ever checked my ID and I said yeah, I have it in my back pocket if you want another look and reached my hand around like I was going to get it for her and she said no that's ok and walked on.

I haven't updated by weight on my driver's license in nearly a decade. I got a sedentary job since then.

One that you didn't mention is the feel and durability of the card. Fake IDs often feel different from the real thing. Also, they tend to be made of cheaper plastics, so a simple light bending of the card at the corner(but not enough to break it) will cause it to show whether it's fake or not. Some places use a magnetic strip on the card's back. Running it through a reader also makes it a dead giveaway.

Because you can pay someone to get liquor for you, or go find Marco at Sonic, toss em a hundred to two hundred bucks (depending on how much he likes you), then bam liquor and club access all you want, whenever.

I don't think you realize how good fake ID's have gotten. If you get a good one they will have most, if not all of the features.

Used to work at several gas station. One story. Guy came up trying to buy beer. Asked him for ID. He gives me a manually typed Arizona ID that was still valid. I looked in the ID book and Arizona had computer typed IDs with the typewritten had been invalid for years. I grabbed the beer and threw the ID back with "get a better fake".

Alright, I admit it, I thought this video was about how to spot a fake ad (until I heard Mike say ID). I thought I was going to learn how to spot scams at a glance. Ha, ha. On the bright side, I did learn something anyway.

When I went to a Con, I didn't have a ID for an 18+ panel, I was over the age of eighteen but I just didn't have any form of ID at the time. So I used my sister's who with at the time ID, so I can get in! It worked, so either they were lazy, or they realized I was over eighteen and didn't care that much!

I just turned 18 few days back but i've been using my genuine fake id license while 16 years old. Got this legit idguy of mine +1702-907-9165 always ready to attend to services and got the best customer service.

I'm over 21 and have nothing to hide, but sometimes, the cashiers at big retail outlets (like Total Wine) or grocery stores can be overzealous. I get it, there are consequences if you mess up, but they try to find the slightest blemish, especially if you present an out-of-state ID. When I go to 7/11 or gas stations, they usually don't ask (though they should, as I am and look under 30) or just scan it to verify age and send you on your way. Although most licenses today have numerous security features, not every state has the same exact features or designs, so while these tips are essential, exercise a little faith. I definitely agree with being familiar with out-of-state license designs.

Just wanted to point out that unless they change the rules on October 1, 2020, you will still be able to fly without a Real ID. You will just receive the pat-down that those passengers that show up with no ID currently receive. Your property that you are carrying through the checkpoint will also be gone through more thoroughly than if you show up and have the Real ID. It will be more of a hassle obviously if you don’t have the Real ID, but you can get through without it.

this is going to help me better catch these scum bags with these fake ID's, I've taken away plenty of California and Arizona ID's as well as a few US permanent resident cards. micro printing is they key of all key's in finding these fakes for me. still haven't mastered the telling if its their sister/brother but I have caught a few. thanks for making this video!

Careful on the tips you give, in most countries ( if not all ) the address is not on the card, and if you are asking for it as a bouncer or a shop owner, it is called abuse of authority and is punishable in most countries ( at least in Europe )

GalacticSlayer I don't know about the US, but in the UK you can receive a £5000 fine and a 6 month prison sentence if you sell alcohol to an underage person, and that is to the person that serves to the minor. The business owner can lose his/her license to sell alcohol as well. So in these cases losing a little business is far better than losing your whole business.

As a Head of Security and a manager of a Large nightclub I can assure you that we don't want that kind of business. Having minors and inexperienced drinkers are a lot more trouble then its worth, plus with the potential fines and licensing issues it can cause if caught... it's just not worth the risk.

Also bend the card and touch the edges. Most fakes I have encountered and bent will have their coating immediately start peeling and start separating off the ID like it was shoved through a simple laminate process and didn't mend with the card specificity the middle of the card.

I'd avoid that amount of bending. Some states like tennessee are very pliable and a real ID will bend that much just fine. Whereas a legit Kentucky ID would snap in half 9/10 times you tried bending it like that. But bending to some degree is very useful once you're used to knowing how certain states cards should feel.

When your last DL height and weight was 65 lbs off your current height and weight.... When I got it renewed I picked a number in between because you never know when you’re gonna drop weight

#25 make certain neither ID is a theatrical ID. (fake IDs deceive, theatrical IDs immerse) #22 friend once tried that approach and false flagged a post-recent-update ID by comparing it against a pre-recent-update ID. #21 verify the grammar issue is not product-native (product-native errors (such as typos, grammar issues or rendering errors) can themselves be an anti-counterfeiter measure)

You can tell right when you see it!!! Funny part of there are lots being made and they think they look good but they are getting worse

Interesting video with the exception that AGAIN, you make your narration image the focus of each entry after about 2 seconds of a full image. You don’t do this for all of your videos, I just checked the last few. Unless you need, or have something remarkable to show, you should have your image the postage size on each entry or, not at all. Yes, I could pause the video at each entry to see what you will eventually talk about on the entry but if you point out something interesting on an entry it’s tough to see it on such a small reduced image, especially on an iPhone. Please comment why you need to do this. I mean your lists are great, I always watch them. I just get upset when you flash an image and the shrink it to almost microscopic size. Ok, maybe not microscopic size but much smaller than full screen.

My signature looks really good on my permit though and it is real. The thing wasn't really hard to sign on for me I guess.

Laser perforation isnt on all state IDs. Out off the few real DLs/IDs I've had, only 1 out 5 had it.

Good advice, but I am a 43-year-old man that suffers from social anxiety disorder so I always look nervous in the checkout line as I usually am closer to other people than I am comfortable being. Also, my weight fluctuates between 30 pounds over-weight to average build much more frequently than I get my license updated.

Some of these are still bad indicators. Mississippi and Louisiana IDs, places where I've lived, don't have laser perforations. Another thing is that my pre-Real ID act Mississippi ID didn't scan on smartphone apps as valid, and they consistently called the ID fake and I once had to get my car registration to corroborate the information on the ID. Not all of these tips are correct, so just take this with a grain of salt.

It's not a bad thing to do though, I've caught my share of people, seeing the license in the viewing sleeve only to have them pull out one to hand me from somewhere else in the wallet. You'd be shocked how many door men dont pay attention to a person until the ID is handed to them.

Sorry I am an artist who used to do these and passports, I never had anyone get caught but I do live in PA I kept up with all the particulars and with someone in the dmv for certain period of time people were able to do moderately difficult fraud. I quit a while ago but if I did it again I am sure I would have the same results.

Speaking of correct grammar...... My first name is actually misspelled on my State ID. Freaking morons at the DMV misspelled it. Probably because my first name is kinda unusual and there are some (although not many) variations of it. Nevertheless all documentation (including the Marriage License) has the misspelling. I could have corrected it sooner, but it wasn't worth the hassle.

I had to card people for controlled substances when I was a pharmacy tech. I had a white guy give me the ID of a black woman and swear it was his. Even showed it to him. Still swore it was his. He left after the other customers started ragging on him

A problem with checking the picture or general description is I change my hair all the time and that includes the color. I go from dark to super blonde, long to short. Also, I gained weight and just recently lost it all so my license has me weighting about 30 pounds more than I do. I also have friends that wear color contacts so sometimes the general description can be off. I look nothing like my picture, but it was taken 10 years ago too.

Yea well my Passport photo dont look anything like me ether you have to look at the contors of the face because eyes dont always show up very well aswel I applied for a citizen card and I had a very near expired Passport so I used that to get my ID card had to take a new photo of my face and then comfirm likeness with the scanner Passport they have to check and double check because that would already have my birth details when they check the Passport reg number Now I have my ID in the post And if places still think its fake I have the app and the detail of my photo and the Passport photo that I had to take for the application to even get started with

Hold on I have to check the tactile laser engraving.

Just view the ID though a camera, if the ID turns blurry it’s real. 😉

I use my fake id to get into the local gay bar every Sunday.

There was sad story were a girl had a fake ID that was killed in a car accident on spring break She had a fake ID and the police for 4 days could not get a hold of her family, until her family reported her missing and the police got her picture and matched it up..This back in the day when it was real easy to fake an ID.

What are the apps you can use?

First of all asking for height and weight is a super dumb move. I got asked what my height or weight was by a bouncer and I gained a few inches since High School and lost weight since then. It’s easier getting a Wyoming fake ID coz it got less credentials. The problem is being in possession of a realistic fake ID which is scan able and authentic. Got mine last year from this legit online service +17029079165.

If you go to an off license they won’t ask for ID 90% of the time

My eye color and height are wrong on my id. When I first got my permit I had to walk back in because it said I was 4'5" they don't check this shit at the dmv.

Pro tips "ask for their address and if they act nervous". I can do you one better. Pro tip, NEVER... EVER... ASK... FOR... THEY'RE... ADRESS... Is this tips on spotting a fake ID or tips on how to be that guy women dont want to be alone with?
