For the clamp setting, be careful with champs with channels. Like its great for annie, viktor, taliyah, etc. But if u keep the setting on for pyke/zac/varus it causes aiming for channel abilities to be wacky

THIS! 👆 I saw this video and went straight to the game to try it, because I thought ot was an awesome NEEDED settting, and after a couple of games I found myself trying to point a Pyke's hook and discovering the indicator twirling around him like crazy... Clamp Casting makes your ability+flash plays work differently (like Renata's flash+E casts E on a shorter, pre-flash range). The inconsistency of this setting is why I would avoid using it on all champs without testing how your abilities work with it.

Tells you what to do because "it's broken" but most of the time you should rethink everything twice before applying it blindly. For example what are those tips on lowering visuals to make your game run 10% smoother while being 200% uglier. Do they think we play on Windows95 that we cannot handle good quality graphics? The best tips I can give at the start of the season is to avoid rank queue, it's pure chaos in this patch. Nothing's even remotely tested and balance's out the window. Where's the preseason at?

Important to note about the champ casting 1:16 theres a bug in zac where if this setting is enabled it’ll Force you to turn around the opposite Way youre trying to use your E ability as the range starts so small the game registers the maxrange behind the champion at times so if playing zac for the time being this setting NEEDS to be disabled to be at all playable with his E

Actually i met one of my best net friends in enemy team on ranked. Having loads of fun on all chat resulted in a long time friendship

I consider binding "a" to "attack move click" to be superior, it is basically the "quick cast" version of attack move, you can always bind "shift+a" to "attack move" for that 1% of cases where you need to see the attack range of your champion, attack move click is just faster.

I actually bind attack move click to my left mouse button. So I like to attack with that and right click I use for movement pathing. The down side is you can't left click on things without it taking an action for example trying to click anything on the scoreboard or if you don't smart cast then you can't cast anything so you specifically need quick cast all. Would be cool if they improved it more. Also would be cool to make right click for movement only as an option. Still waiting on these feature improvements

Oooh the chat tips one for calling out and updating burnt summoners has been something I kept forgetting to learn, thanks so much.

Bonus tip - if you have a gaming mouse with thumb keys use them to quickcast item slot 1, 2 etc, I'm an Evelynn otp and using item combos is 110% better

Voice setting are useful vs invisible characters. Like encountering teemo as an aatrox for the first time. Before you gonna see him you will hear that teemo is close

Btw 'target champions only' does not work with attack move or attack move click, it only works with right click. Super important detail to know when you're tower diving or if an enemy is hiding in a minion wave to make it tougher to hit them.

great video, but when it comes to visual clarity, having a blurry ground actually is beneficial because if causes an extra contrast to the sharp champions. When it comes to sound I recommend to also disable the announcer volume. minimap on 100% is fine, more than enough vision still there, also thanks to minimap you will predict where everyone is anyway apart from these 3 things I approve this video as I use the same settings for over 10 years also: hide eye candy and using colorblind can help you as well

Having voice enabled also helps you spotting enemies if your champ/skin has a unique line if you encounter them

The shift normal cast is slower than quick cast with the indicator setting so when you hold the spell you see the range if you let it go you cast

Clamp cast target location within max range seems to be bugged for me, especially on spells that you have to charge like pyke q or viego w. It just goes in different directions except for the direction i wanna cast it.

There is a box you can check that just makes quick cast have a range indicator. Dumb to bind quick cast to shift. Pros usually have that setting for abilities that require charge/impeccable timing. Aim click with mouse is a bit more accurate than on key release...

The example for eye candy in visual clarity implies that the dragonflies, lilypads, and waves are eye candy, but the duck and frog aren't.

In sound settings, leaving Voices on does give a competitive advantage. It keeps me sane with the funny voicelines

Yeah, I'll happily keep things like voice lines, music and eye candy on. Anything that makes the game more enjoyable is going to do me more good than getting a microscopic advantage at some point

does colorblind mode make all abilites better to see or just certain abilities?

you can just turn on replace quick cast with indicator in the quickbind UI and it does the same but you dont need to hold shift

10:30 if you put fps cap at 240 and still have problems try disabling movement prediction, and it will all work fine after. If you really really really wanna use movement prediction on, cap fps to 144 and it won't make problems. Also really importat to know, it's still better to have more fps than your monitor's refresh rate.

@@Nymphaela_xo Unless you use features like v-sync / freesync / g-sync then yes you can put fps limit to 240fps as that will still help with your pc latency regardless of your monitor. If you use vsync, freesync or g-sync then it will limit the fps to your max refresh rate but the image will look better in motion.

I’ve been doing the quick cast and shift for the normal cast for years I’ve never gotten past gold but don’t really play ranked often anymore let alone to actually climb more to play with friends. Meanwhile my friends are emerald and plat and only use quick cast with indicators.

the clamp casting is currently very buggy, for example it makes Pyke's Q impossible to hit after moving the cursor around a little bit

Probably not best for everyone or all Champs. Mostly likely best to use on a case by case basis. I would feel most assassin probably wouldn't benefit a ton since they already have the mobility to point-blank spells.

it doesnt make his Q impossible to hit, it simply shows a wrong indicator, Q still goes to where your cursor is (at least when i tried it) ok it is bugged like shit

it'll bug Zac E to another fucking level - impossible to play with this setting. Turn setting on > go into practice mode > level Zac E to max level and try to use it. LMAO

MY personal setting A = Champ only V = Attack move (so I can just use my thumb while all my ability fingers are remain in place because I hate toggle it ruin consistency of controls) Ally camera = Ctrl+1,2,3,4

You can also tick show quick cast indicator and it will show you the indicator without you having to hold any button. So you get both quick cast with indicator with 1 button press

I am already stuck i did what you said with Shift Q etc but i will either have to press Shift to cast the ability or i will have the range of the ability with or without Q and with every other ability what did I do wrong?

I really like the setting to bind attack move to left click so I dont need to fiddle with another button to just do an attack. I also realize that I'm clicking all the time when attacking anyway so I just turned off auto attack so I don't need to use the stop command either. Maybe there are some downsides to this, but works for me

Am I missing something with quick cast? Even with quick cast one I still have the range indicators while holding the key, So I never saw the need for an alternate normal cast keybind just for the range indicator.

I myself use quickcast on qwer and quickcast with indicator on shift + qwer, instead of shift + qwer being normal cast...

Any thoughts on the idea that adc/support should be in the much safer top lane now? Easier to scale? Closer to the powerful void bugs?

@@TRVPHAUS bot lane you can wrap around without touching tower, giving you more gank angles. To wrap around top you're behind tower. Only good for dives when wave is pushed

It hasn’t been fixed yet no. I spent 15 minutes in the middle of a ranked game as zac jungle trying to bugfix why my e suddenly didn’t work correctly making basically the entire kit useless

i wouldnt recommend using clamp cast right now as its pretty buggy especially on certain champs like pyke and zac

On the 1st setting, if you playing vi, varus or anyone with charge ability don't enable it.

When i try to put the range indicator with the Attack moving keybind, it does nothing

Can the Target Champions Only keybind be made to work with A-clicking? Or just right clicking? I can't seem to get it to work properly for auto attacks

It does not work with attack move unfortunately. If it did, I'd be much happier. You have to right click for autos. It works on spells though like cho gath R so you don't eat minions or vayne E so you don't condemn minions etc.

@connorw1966 yeah I left click attack move for every attack I make. When I put target champions only I have to break that habit and right click. It's unfortunate the effort it takes to be mindful to that degree

Yeah the quick level up has saved me more than once haha, most recently i was playing Hwei and got dived half dived by a level 3 sylas (i was level 2) when i was in the 1% hp range i levelled up which gave me hp to survive his next AA then also quickly hit control+w to level w then got my shield off... he died to tower then just said 'open mid' in all chat x'D (we then lost that game :^))

also, i think the target champs only legacy cursor is super easy to see in hectic teamfights with the white outline compared to the red modern cursor

I'd be very careful with the first tip. The majority of old players have built muscle memory, and it's a known benefit to have that setting turned off. For example, if you buffer Annie's R out of range and then flash, it activates instantly, leaving no time to react. However, with this setting turned on, it forces you to flash first and then ult. This removes the element of surprise.

Here is an idea for Riot: CHANGING OPTIONS ONLY INGAME IS IDIOTIC! I want to be able to change options prior to games, so I am not pressured by losing play time and "inting" while reading all the options. Honestly - this is such a basic thing, it makes me question their thought process about everything.

Practice tool. You can disable minion spawn instantly and have 60 minutes to change it. Then end it manually whenever you want. It's easy

For Pyke and Vi, at least you can disable clamping on them and they’ll be fine Meanwhile Viego has a charge on his W so he wants to disable clamping, but he might also want to enable it depending on what champs there are to take 😢 This bug shouldn’t be happening for any champ regardless pls fix this issue already riot

why make a bind for not quick casting, when you can just hold quick cast abilities down to show the cast path?

The clamp setting also makes all your flash input buffer combo's not work or way harder to do. Some champs like brand are indeed better but a lot of champs become harder to play with it too.

Where's the move only command and how do I bind it to right click?

I always had my fingers on q w e r, never my pinky on the shift key. What is the purpose of this? I will try it out and see how it feels

Is it normal for the "Target Champions only" option to not work? I even have it set as a toggle but it still targets minions. Edit: I'm dumb, using "A" left click with the option on overrides it and will still attack anything closest to the cursor.

League client is wildly buggy for me, lag and cant even open settings so I watched this but will update stuff later ;3 thank you.

Using software like Porofessor can make chat completely redundant as this lets you track enemy summoners for your entire team without typing thus only relying on pings and the tracker

Porofessor is in a grey area and will possibly be banned when the new riot anticheat is implemented, other than that I agree it is a lot more practical that typing

Disable auto attack (don't remember where exactly it was, I think under game tab) because it can seriously mess up your last hits.

Wouldn't it be easier to to set "A" for "Player Attack Move Click", enable ""Auto attack", "Attack move on cursor" and finally bind "V" to "Show Advanced Player Stats", that way you can hold down V to see your range and still orbit walk (strobe walk whatever you want to call it) - does this mess up other actions? the toggle for hit champ only is nice but make sure its on a hotkey that you don't fat finger with another important key

Binding left click to attack move does mess up certain interactions in the game. Anything else that requires a left click gets overrided by attack move command. You need to quick cast all abilities for it to work and you have to accept that left clicking the scoreboard will move you every time. I still use it on left click, and accept the consequences
