I think its possible that the kahuna that the tapu killed was the ice kahuna. Thats why they don't have a representation in the game.

I like the Gumza and Kahili theory. It makes sense when you spell it out like this.

About the Ultra beast and Character interactions! It actually makes sense why Lusamine would look like Pheromosa design wise. In Sun/Moon she sees them as beautiful creatures, so I think it makes sense that not only she'd make herself look like the most Beautiful Ultra Beast (Aka, Pheromosa, i.e. UB: Beauty). Then we have Lillie, who has confirmed that she has been dressed by her mother, so Lusamine could have made her dress like an ultra beast And for Guzma? Idk, maybe Lusamine just said he may look cooler with white spiky hair lol

I think Guzma is just a coincidence, as he doesn't really look like Xurkitree outside of the hair and color scheme

The protagonist of the Pokemon Horizon manga looks like a Digimon character because it was made by Tenya Yabuno, who's worked on a lot of Digimon things but particularly C'mon Digimon (the first Digimon manga) and Digimon V-Tamer (the manga where Taichi from Digimon Adventure originates from)

Steven appears in so many gens and regions, it always makes me happy to stumble across him. ORAS talking about his looks makes kid me playing Sapphire feel so validated

enormous reach 😭 the team could’ve been called team skull before the tapu attack 💀 and the grunt didn’t say anyone died 💀 the whole theory is just a bunch of reaches and assumptions

Small note: poke pelago is almost definitely pronounced Poké Peh-luh-go like archipelago which is the word for a small group of islands

I wonder if people on average noticed Guzma’s sunglasses being representative of a Sun/Moon and that Guzma’s signature expression mirrors this. Pretty cool.

It took me a while to realise that as well, and when I finally saw it I wondered why it took me so long too.

I always wondered why some of the ultra beast looks like some of the characters in the game? Used to think they were ultra beasts in disguise or human/Pokémon hybrids.

the beta designs for z crystals were so much cooler imo makes me curious how they would cover mon specific crystals. like would they be designed like mega crystals or have little bits of the mon inside, such as a scale for the kommo-o crystal.

The human chars looking like Ultra Beasts really blew my mind, it gives the "it's by fate" kind of vide. Really crazy stuff.

I'm kinda sad that the Aether family never really got a happy ending, like they did in the anime. That was one of the view things I liked about the anime...But l guess still character development for Lusamine for letting her husband go 😢

Most underrated region!

Not gonna lie the aether theme is fire

To this day gen 7 is the only Generation of Pokemon that I was never able to play so it’s just really cool seeing the gameplay and new lore/facts presented in the videos.

I'll say it: Ultra Sun/Moon are the most fun Pokémon game, and the best story so far. I miss it 🥹

Maybe Pokémon were trying out a multiverse thing. Maybe some people have a Pokémon counterpart in another universe. They are probably waiting for a remake sequel or legends title years down the road to explain the connection. I mean there’s whole other worlds out there to explore in ultra space. I actually expected an Pokémon spin-off in one of those worlds with nothing but ultra beast instead of regular Pokémon. Like something for older fans like Pokémon Terminator or Mad Max.

Tapu Lele's Probosis being actually a tail is weird but it would be way weirder if it was the other way around.

For the Ultra Beast-Human connections, it's interesting to look at Pokemon Masters. Lusamine has Pheramosa, but also Dusk Mane Necrozma. Lillie has Lunala rather than Nihilego, and Guzma has Buzzwole rather than Xurkitree. Obviously, it's a spinoff with characters that wear different outfits based on their partner Pokemon, but it's still pretty interesting.

Lillie has Lunala because a lot of people wanted her to keep Nebby as a trainer in canon, so they gave her something to remedy that and for fanservice. And to be fair Nihilego and Xurkitree are still not in Masters, so it's not impossible for them to happen at some point. Lillie does seem like an easy go to for alts that sell. (Though I doubt it will be soon because they're really pacing their Paldea/Hisui releases now)

Omg, I love that Guzma and Kahili theory so much!! It all makes perfect sense when you lay it out like that. Sun is one of my very favorite Pokemon games thanks in great part to its characters and its story.

i could totally see guzma being the kind of person to bust up his clubs out of frustration if he lost a game of golf, be it normal or mini, especially if it was to someone that otherwise regularly was beating him at various things

Despite its flaws, Gen 7 is my favorite Gen of all time. Specifically. USUM. Ir is the last gen where you could catch/transfer all existing Pokemon. It is the only gen where all battle gimmicks are available. (Granted there were only two at the time. Mega evolution and Z-moves) It is where my all time favorite and broken starter debuted which is Incineroar(Still broken in VGC even today) The story was amazing. (Not as good as Gen 5 and Gen 9 story) You can fight both Red and Blue as optional bosses in the battle tree and several other strong trainets like Cynthia. Tapu fini is my favorite Tapu. Setting up misty terrain gives me a sense of safety in competitive. No sleep or random paralysis. I will never forget mah boi Kiawe helping me beat both Red and Blue in Battle tree Super Multi I could go on but I love Gen 7. Its probably the last gen where my enjoyment peaked. Gen 8 and 9 disappointed me with the dex cut and the overall performance despite being on the Switch.

I found another thing about magearna, it was shown in the nineteenth Pokémon movie

I’d love to have a Pokémon game based off the Pokémon Horizons Sun and Moon manga instead of Sun and Moon remakes

Another possible Gen 1 call back is the names of the 4 islands, being the Hawaiian words for yellow pink red and purple like the towns in Gen 1 being named after colors.

The Litten & Lucario one is most likely because fire/fighting vs steel/fighting. Raised the level up because of type advantage?

You mean Fire/Dark vs. Steel/Fighting, but yes this is still giving Incineroar the best advantage against Lucario out of all the starters since this is the only one who has an offensive advantage against it.

@@brandibastian4193 Yes but Decidueye and Primarina don't have any super effective STAB against Lucario, only Incineroar does, while the other two starters have defensive advantages in terms of Typing but no offensive ones.

Pokémon Z leftovers in Sun and Moon It is a common theme with these games. Pokémon X and Y Pokedex feels small. But on the plus side plenty of good designs.

I can see a pattern here if you pay attention to the choice for remakes, from the beginning we had remakes of the two original games of every gen, LG and FR for red and green, HG and SS for gold and silver; OR and AS for ruby and sapphire, BD and SP for diamond and pearl those 4 gens having an enhanced version as a third game. Gen 5 having not 1 but 2 sequels, they have just skipped it and now we'll have legend's ZA for gen 6 because no third game nor a sequel have been planned for it. I'm a little bit foreshadowing here, they're gonna skip gen 7 and then we're probably going to have either galar remakes or a legend's Galar.

Amazing video! It seems like a lot of research when into this one. I especially liked the connection between Guzma and Kahili as Kahili always seemed like (even though a cool character in my opinion) very out of place and with little purpose in the game.

Had the same thought on Battle Bond, I thought it may have been Amiibo related (since Greninja had an Amiibo)

Guzma does NOT mock Kahili... en the first route after Hauoli city you can enter a house that is Guzma's father house, and there are golf club's beaten up, bended, trophies and such; so Guzma WAS a former golf player that got over taken (maybe by Kahili) or just simply fell off the circuit and was frustrated letting steam out with his own clubs

Are you CERTAIN that the misplaced Gen 7 Pokémon data is SPECIFICALLY Shiinotic? It doesn't belong to Dusk Lycanroc, Oranguru, Passimian or Toucannon, does it? That movie came right between the end of Gen 6 and the beginning of Gen 7 (about 6 months before SM's release). If I'm not mistaken, Magearna's event was available in Sun and Moon day one. Gamewise, Magearna is at the tail end of Alola's dex, but not in Kalos (Mythicals for Kalos are Diancie, Hoopa and Volcanion)
