Whatever Vegeta did was under the tyranny of freiza. Whatever he did was for avenging his people and his pride. Piccolo's father king piccolo wanted a reign of terror and every single person killed by piccolo had their souls put in purgatory and not let to pass on. Piccolo continued using this technique and only stopped with this soul punishing thing go after killing Raditz and Goku.....from then he has changed throughout DBZ, he had to fuse back with kami which was unbearable for him just to save the world which he didn't care about earlier and even more apparently u can find the change starkly in DB super babysitting Pan.....He quite frankly has evolved the most.

That Goku doesnt fight to save others and the world is kinda wrong tho. I mean yes in DBSuper it seems like it but when we look back: -Frieza He fought Frieza to save his friends and avenge Krillin. He didnt fight Frieza just because he was strong in fact at the beginning he knew he has no chance and is dead meat. -Cell Goku knew he had no chance of winning and wanted Gohan to be the hero. On top of that he gave his life to save the planet from Cell going BOOM. Here again he didnt fight for the sake of fighting. -Boo Pretty much the same as Frieza. He wanted to save his friends and earth. He even gave up some time he had left on earth just to turn SSJ3 and buy some time. So yes even tho Akira "kinda" confirmed Goku just fights for the sake of it its also confirmed that Akiras memory isnt the best and he himself satated that he had to rewatch episodes again and again so he doesnt make any huge mistakes in his own universe he created. So even tho Akira is the creator i wouldnt take his words as absolute facts because of his memory problems. Thats high likely also a reason why he is over it now. I also wouldnt like to extend a show any longer then it needs to be when i cant remember myself what i wrote 20 episodes ago.

Hans Peter didn’t he say he could of beaten fat buu at that time he went ssj3 though? He wanted the kids to be the savior or not relying on him because he won’t be there all the time. So it could be argued he could’ve ended it right there and no earth and everyone die. Although I believe his intentions might have been good it did create a bigger problem in the long run.

Just so you realize, at one point during every single major villain fight, Goku has stated that he is fighting because he wants to be the strongest, not for people. Yes, he cares about his family and friends, but 90% of the reason he does literally anything is to be stronger. Go back and watch it.

In my several decades of watching all kinds of series, it always seems that only fans care about canon. And probably more than they should. DBZ was largely made up as he went along. There's a HUGE difference between writing an entertaining story and writing something that is realistic in every way. I never really understood the NEED for complete closure. I guess the biggest problem is, the more you rewatch something, the more little details you see, that really were never meant to be scrutinized.

I love everything that's going on with Frieza in Dragonball Super. From the fact that dieing on Earth trapped him in Earth's Hell, to the fact that he was revived to help save Universe 7. That he's an evil, reprehensible, egomaniacal psychopath who will never change, but you can obviously see that time spent hating Goku has changed him. It's like Goku is his only friend, *and he HATES that!* Even to his newfound motivations. That he'd been a prodigy and, therefore, had never needed to train, and that Goku *caused* him to change that aspect about his personality is proof enough. And every wish motivation in the new Broly movie was a joy

Half of these aren't even theories! They are just observations. There was no theory, for example, that Pikkon was a hero so he got to keep his body and train with a Kai. He got to keep his body and trained with a Kai, so therefore, he was a hero, those were the rules established!

@@LordCanti89 The Ginyu force did because of special request of King Kai, Cell wasn't canon, and Freeza technically doesn't have his body, it's supposed to be a representation of his body going though Hell. And yes, I know Pikkon isn't canon either but within the rules of DBZ, that's the reason it would be obvious that Pikkon would keep his body.

Dragon Ball is very loosely based on Journey to the West. Goku is the Monkey King, from flying cloud to the staff to being a freakin monkey, besides that, the blue cat and the pig are the other two demons that join the monk Xuanzang on the Journey to the West. That's why they look like animals. Any explanation beyond that is just created for it all to make sense in the universe.

SS Blue ‘let it go’ sounds like a better way to go.

Roshi stated, in Dragon Ball, (I believe in the second tournament) that he was indeed letting new fighters take the lead defending the world. I could love a Master Roshi ark to show us he's true power. He's not called MASTER Roshi for nothing, he can school almost anyone.

Number 13 was inaccurate. Goku saved the universes from being erased by Zeno using the Tournament of Power. Zeno was bored and planned to erase all the universes. Using the TOP, Goku gave them all a fighting chance at survival.

@@Gytiss93 But that is a 2 way street. He also didn't know that Zeno was going to erase the losers. He assumed it would be like the World Martial Artist Tournament where you simply lose and go home. He had no idea that lives were on the line.

I do have to dispute the aspect of Goku's irresponsibility with the Tournament of Power. The Grand Priest specifically stated that the Omni-kings were planning on destroying all of these universes anyway, meaning Goku causing the Tournament of Power to actually be saving one universe. Though all of that is pretty moot at the end when they reveal that even if they won the tournament, if the winner gave a selfish wish they were going to destroy that universe anyway.

His primary motivation is just to fight. But he still cares for his loved one. Krillin dying to Frieza set Goku off, but after he realized Frieza was getting rapidly fatigued at 100% power he tries to leave. He wasn't a challenge anymore so stopped fighting.

While I love ssj4, I disagree a bit. They are more different than 4. They were meant to be a refining of power, and then an application of saiyan forms to that refined God ki. Then Ultra instinct being a distinctly different form intended to be leaner and less so just pure power. Ssj4 looks cool, but is just more power on power.

For the second bit... it is implied that Zeno believed that the last one standing would be "virtuous enough" to wish to save the other Universes. And if they didn't, he would have erased everything.

Ok random thought:/If Goku didn't understand the concept of what kissing was then WHO explained to him what sex was. That had to be a interesting moment for Goke to grasp.

He did use a dangerous forbidden technique he didn't fully mastered (Mafuba), which killed him. Had he fought smart, using his skills, along with his Buff transformation the same way Goku used the Kaioken, he might have defeated king Picoolo alone. After all, he destroyed the moon with a single Kameha His prowess seems to be afected by his lack of motivation, in a way he is like a lesser Gohan. He could probably go beyond what he is now if he had Goku's drive, as it seems he is no too affected by age thanks to his immortality.

Well manga and anime are sometimes just created for entertainment. When fans take it too seriously and start to make connections and theories and try to make sense of EVERY FREAKING DETAIL EVER, even the creators be like - chill dude, its just made to have some fun.

Yaah, no, fans speculated that Buu's inners had an anti-fusion element; that the fusion is only permanent with a Kai is an utter nonsense horrendous retcon. There was nothing baffling about Goku's inability to understand social norms, the guy grew up mostly alone in a jungle, after having killed his adoptive father/grandfather when he was in his uncontrollable Giant Monkey/Oozaru form. No, bullshit, Saiyans do not just know the move that injured them after recovering from it.

well... He didn't say that ast bit, exactly. He simply said during the recovery period, they can learn a technique used when they got injured. And that's literally the BEST and ONLY explanation for why Vegeta was able to sense power levels after leaving Earth for Namek. Not to say it's a GOOD explanation, mind... but it's teh best we got.

Point 3 - was the one of the main points behind the buu saga that most people don't seem to understand. Buu, Vegeta, and Goku were all more similiar than people are comfortable to admit. The climax of the series was the Majin Vegeta vs Goku battle because that was the moment when both Goku and Vegeta fully embraced their saiyan side and stopped pretending to be either good or evil. It was an admittance that they both play the role of being good or evil depending on what way the wind is blowing - HOWEVER Buu was the cautionary tale of a being that only concerns itself with power. A being such as that causes pure chaos and destruction without reason. Goku and Vegeta joined forces against him in order to draw the line in the sand between being a saiyan and being a being of pure evill. That is why they fought against him, but at the same time refused to sacrafice their pride by fusing. They would fight against evil because it suited them - not because they absolutely were opposed to the destruction of the universe! Buu saga was amazing!! And I don't consider anything after Buu saga to be more than a stimulus package for the Japanese economy thanks to Akira Toriyama.

Now that would be a story!

The theory that I have that I'm really hoping will be confirmed is that Gohan, after saying that he doesn't want to attain power "the same way his father did" (In other words, through the path of "Destruction", since Goku was trained by a God of Destruction), and after having been trained by the Gods of Creation, the Kais, that Gohan will instead find his path to God Ki through the Kais. This has been seen in the series before, with Super Saiyan Rose! It was stated by Zamasu that that was the fusion of the Super Saiyan energy with God Ki, and since each Saiyan is appearing to get their own hair color, I think Gohan will end up training with the Kais to become Super Saiyan Rose!

Actually, Gohan has Mystic (or Ultimate) form. He gains it after the ritual with Elder Kai during the Buu saga. Powerwise, at first, it's about the same as SSJ3. With training, it does become his version of SSJ Blue, but doesn't change his appearance the way the other SSJ transformations do-it's just a near-transparent aura that surrounds him. Nor does it place the same strain on his body. This lets him sustain it much longer. So, technically, he's already done it, his power level just is never explicitly stated to be equal to Goku's or Vegeta's.

Actually, Toriyama said that he liked GT but knows some fans do not like it. With that stated,he say GT is the end to Dragonball if you want it to be, and not if you don't...... meaning it's canon based or your own beliefs..... And to clear up any misconception, AT role with GT was the exact same role as with Z and Super now. The only difference is istead of someone else coming up with story plot point, he's doing it himself (barely). He still reviewed scripts and gave notes, designed characters and got his laughs in along the way (Vegeta's mustache....yes that was 100% AT). Please don't spin documented interviews to fit your agenda......

for the UI/SSGSSE theory, i look back at what Whis says to goku and Vegeta. he says along the line of Vegeta is too tense and always over thinks what he should do next and his attacks are stiff, where as Goku is too relaxed and needs to work on it or he could leave himself vulnerable if he wasnt careful. which is probably why vegeta cant achieve UI and instead got the Evolved Ssgss because Vegeta cant stop overthinking and allowing himself to relax while he fights where Goku is relaxed enough to allow UI to take over

Goku does care about his family and fights for others. Remember the fight with Zamasu and Goku Black

Almost none of these are "fan theories", they're more like observations or just straight up facts more often than not. I can't believe I thought this might actually be an interesting or, god forbid, informative video. As soon as I saw Screen Rant I should've just turned it off and I'll know better for next time.

the chichi part is wrong. goku didn't know what he was getting to initially but at the end of the tournament it is explained to him what marriage is and he PROPOSES to chichi after knowing what it means. He even tells her he loves her.

Well, Piccolo and Vegeta do share similar character arcs but Piccolo's arc began in Dragon Ball so, if you didn't watch the original, you missed a large chunk of it. As a result, you might not be as invested in his character. Vegetas story, on the other hand, was entirely in DBZ and by keeping him around to torment him, Toriyama arguably ended up making his arc a bit more substantial, especially in the Buu saga.

Yes. It can also be argued that the only reason he could do it was because he was already dead. Much like how he could no longer sustain SS3 very long once he was revived.

And after ToP its revealed that the ToP was a test. And a selfish wish would have resulted in Xeno erasing all universes; likely to start from scratch. Goku and 17s desire to do the most human and compassionate thing literally saved everyone in multiple universes from extinction. By the way I don't think Xeno is a true God. I think his more like the King of the Hakaishin. And we will soon meet bigger Gods. But this is my theory.

Dragon ball theory: why would freeze an immensely powerful villain need weaker bodyguards? Answer: to use as meat shields in case captain Ginu ever decided to try and switch bodies with him.

It's a mix of both. He loves fighting, especially strong opponents. But he fought Piccolo Senior to save the world. The fought the Androids to save the world. (Though I think he was happy about the upcoming fights with stronger opponents) He wished for his family not to revive him, after dying by Cell, so no strong opponents would come to earth, just to save it. He fought Buu to save earth and the universe. (Though he wished for Buu to be reborn as a good person, so they could fight again) One could say, he's some kind of Anti-Hero. Unlike Gohan, who genuinely wanted to help people.
