    I personally watch Skam France It has a great story that originates from the original Skam in Norway. There's different versions for different languages with diffrent characters and actors but the base storyline always stays the same!

    In English they have apps with tons of short stories, 30 or 50 minutes long from 1930, 1940, and 1950. *DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF A FRENCH APP OR WEBSITE OF OLD FRENCH STORIES?* Also are any internet radios which play Old songs form the 30’s and 40’s like Edit Piaf? Please answer.

    Someone that knows a French show with French subtitles? Even in Switzerland, France, Canada or Belgium in Netflix, I only found Dix Pour Cent. Right, I suppose there are others but I haven't found them. (What I mean with French subtitles is when it says "French [CC]")

    Haha I remember Code Lyoko, it used to air during the Toonami block on Cartoon Network. Totally Spies aired on ABC Family if I remember correctly. I’m surprised he didn’t mention Valerian the television show, I watched it on Crunchyroll.

    @NTB Not true - only certain titles will have subtitles available. subtitles are region blocked. I spoke to Netflix help the other day to figure out how to get french subtitles on the office and she explained that in Quebec they would probably have the subtitles available but not in Ontario per licensing agreements in different areas.

    If you want to learn french you need to put on french subtitles, if you leave then in English you won't learn much since you most likely will read the subtitles

    @@ewnewmanoaj3391 Yeah basically all the romance languages are very similar ( in writing at least ) Spanish , French , portuguese , Italian , Romanian . It's kind of like with German and English , for a french to go to German directly is difficult but if he already learned english , it is way easier .

    The more you learn, the less frustration and more fun you have. Just keep with it. Je crois en toi! Honestly one of the best ways to get a generally good grip on French comprehension, is just exposure. Expose yourself to French media (like this video is talking about) Just make sure it's slightly more difficult than your French level. So that you understand about 80-90% of what's being said. If you are at a very low level, than find some nursery rhymes or children's stories. That way you will learn words *in context* which will make the words and their meaning stick with you much better. Another thing to do is to shadow these shows. Shadowing is when you try and speak the words that are being said on the show right after they are said. This way, you can improve your accent and pronounciation, and you will get a good sense of the rhythm and French. Hope this helps!

    I am using the APP babell and I am very satisfied with the service they offered I believe it's a good option for beginners because the price is good and you can learn the basic I said they have intermediate and advanced Ed classes but I think it's very interesting to start to learn a language and then you can try to have online classes with a real teacher.
