25:1 Mix for the Pinkway: Was It Good OR Bad?
Just a quick update and review on the Pinkway (aka Purple Monster) 63cc saw. Was putting the manufacturer's mandated 25:1 fuel ratio a good decision? Let's find out!

I would rock a shirt, hoodie or hat. Patches sounds cool!
Nice job tuning the carb! I wasn’t a rock star my first time adjusting a carb, rinse and repeat. Keep cutting!

40:1 is a perfect mix it's what I run in all my saws even if they call for 50:1 the main thing is just make sure you run a good synthetic 2 stroke oil it's made to handle the high rpms of the new saws and works with the old low rpm saws aswell doesn't really matter what brand of oil they are all good

Copy that, Ken! Thanks for watching, keep cuttin'!
I'd say as far as modding goes just do a muffler mod to open up your muffler by getting rid of the baffle in it. Making it more free flowing will help it out a good amount without having to do any crazy port work to it. :)

With any saw you have to do maintence. I run premixed 50-1 fuel including my clone 066,not had a issue ever. A dirt saw is a happy saw :) 25 is common in other countries because they do not have the same fuels and mix oils availible. Flip the bar everytime you take it off to work on the saw. Go with another saw instead,This saw should be ported to see if it can survive it. I would look at buyin a neotec in the 70cc rankge with a 28 inch bar.

Hey Scott, thanks for sharing. I need to run my 372xp clone more on the channel, and see how that does. Thanks for watching, keep cuttin'!
My pinkway arrived today, it said all over saw, manual box 50:1. I've seen many videos of it being 25:1 was a little shocked to discover the saw i just received today, strictly said 50:1

I can't show you a picture of my saw, the box ect. I wasted extra money buying a fuel jug, and pre mix, and non ethanol fuel for this saw I knew was arriving today. After I received it, I was like???? So I went and bought true fuel! Great saw as of now, I'm very impressed with this 63cc PinkWay saw.

That's crazy how they chained to box and printed materials to read 50:1. Maybe they got so much negative feedback. Glad you liked the saw. Stay tuned, I have another update on my Purple Monster soon. Thanks again for watching, keep cuttin'!
I put 3 ounces of oil in a gallon of gas in all my 2 stroke equipment never have an issue
Since i am cheap. (In a way) run it till it dies, then get it ported, but that's just me.😉👍

If you do decide to modify the ports, I would focus more on a good polish job. The reason is simple, all engines are basically air pumps. If you make one part more efficient, you have to make the rest more as well-namely air intake and exhaust. All three need to be in balance or all you have is a machine that runs super hot and eats itself to fast.

Great video. Porting would make for interesting content. Curious what kind of bar does it take, Husqvarna, Stihl or some thing else? What's the chain size, 3/8 .050 or what?

25:1 is obviously why your saw is smoking. That's alot of oil to fuel
