I bought this kit a year ago. I replace the entire deck of a 48 foot flatbed trailer using pressure treated wood.. These tools work great. I even had the drill come flying out of my hand hit the concrete floor, almost no damage except a small nick. These are great tools I wish they had a deeper product line. The batteries are a better build quality then Milwaukee.

Lots to like about the Flex tools. Quality stuff, for sure. They don't have a wide enough catalogue of tools to choose them over Milwaukee, but I'm glad they brought their tools to the U.S. market.

Hi I just bought the flex vacuum it was $129 and you got a free 350 amp stack battery which is worth 179 alone. I don't understand flex every time I go to Lowe's every week they have tools on clearance and they're 60% off I feel that Lowe's might be dropping their line it doesn't make me feel good in the heart knowing that these nice tools are being sold so cheap but on the other hand I buy a lot of them when I see them on sale. Let me tell you about this tremendous vacuum I'll leave it in the back of my Mercedes van so I can always keep it clean when I throw my crap in the back and have trash days where I have to take bags of trash off the job site if you use a 2.5 volt battery it will work fine but I will tell you if you put a 10 amp battery and that thing it will work like it's supercharged or turbocharged The thing just sings away really loud and the suction is much more incredibly stronger so there you go the bigger the battery the faster that thing will work now I'm talking about going from a 2.5 amp regular battery to a 10 amp stack battery I don't necessarily know if you need to put a 10 amp stack battery cuz it makes a little bit heavy but I'm sure if you put a 6 amp stack or an 8 amp battery it will work good too anyway it's a super good tool but the way they're selling these tools where you buy the vacuum for $129 and they give you $179 battery for free all these prices are just insane it doesn't leave me comfortable that the company is going to be in business or possibly Lowe's is dropping their line I'm looking forward to hopefully on clearance the tripod light that's 249 coming down in price My store where I live has eight of them they've been there for 3 months they haven't sold a one I can see them up in the top and I asked the guys that do the flex there and they all own flex now cuz they get them on clearance too they said the lights haven't moved at all they're too expensive but it's a great light so I'm waiting for the light to go on clearance and the radio. I bought the rear handle saw that was 399 for $209 on Amazon. Now two weeks ago Lowe's had it on clearance for $159 that was the kit with the charger and a 10 amp battery I kept the bat two batteries I bought two saws I kept the two batteries and I sold the saws with the charger for $159 what I paid for them and they gave you a $300 battery. See this is ridiculous this is not what I understand how does the company make money doing this. Why is Lowe's dumping all these things

I've held the impact and drill with the 2.5ah and 5.0ah batteries on them and they are just too heavy haha. In person those batteries are massive. It would be ok for occasional use but I would dread heaving them around all day. I don't hate Flex but I'm not sure 24v with 18650 and 21700 cells was the way to go. And for clarification I use the 18v Ridgid Octane hammer drill every day at work and feel like that drill is as about as big as I would want. I've seen on Belts and Boxes that Flex is planning on releasing their own version of the powerstack batteries. I hope they slim those batteries down as much as possible.

I returned it for the flex inline 6" saw which is belt driven.. it has a vac hookup on the front but u don't need one.. whichever way u turn the vac hookup is where all the dust is gonna go just like a wood chipper.. it's amazing.. it also cuts within a sixteenth as deep as the 71/4 saw... Bcuz the way it's designed.. flex is way ahead of the comp when it comes to innovation. I highly recommend that and their rear handle saw that looks like a worm drive. It's freakin powerful.. hell everything they make is great.. I'm with em from now on

You can program it to also change to different auto modes. The TD002 has 10 different modes! The tool also has 4 lights on the front. It runs at 3700rpm and 4600ipm. Its a BEAST!!! Only cost $180.

I'm not sure. So the eject button, we all know you can just pull a bit out of a dewalt or milwaukee anyway without even touching the collar so that feature is a novelty. Every decent brand has a battery meter. I liked the extra cooling for the battery on the charger that's genuinely a great idea to prolong battery life. The extra voltage doesn't seem to translate to huge gains on power over the top 3 then again the price difference is a compromise to that. Overall if I wasn't already invested in a battery platform I would probably give flex a shot

I just learned todat the Dewalt's brushless impact from like 2012, the DCF 895, had a goofy collet button just like the Flex. Apparently was is old is new again. Makita missed an opportunity with their XDT16, they could gave made the little button above the trigger a collet button instead. XD

@@seano932 As someone with a Makita GDT01 and a Flex FX1371, Makita has the much, much smarter design with a programmable button there. The Flex's collet is just an old school, standard quick disconnect collet with a bad release collar design. Other than having a 'button' that saves no time (as you're still going to need to insert and remove bits/shafts), it's no different than the manual collet on Metabo HPT's triple hammer or low end drivers. I mean, it's not even quick insert (like Makita or Milwaukee) or a real quick eject (like the DeWalt DCF840, or some older, higher end offerings from mid range and DIYer brands Ridgid and Ryobi). It's one of the biggest gripes I have with the Flex.

Too bad that impact drivers isnt about power then. You want power? Get the Makita XGT 3/4" with a 1/4" hex adapter, ort a 1" Milwaukee, but they too arent made to do the job of an impact driver, power isnt the thing. My two most used impact drivers are 18v subcompact and a 7.2v screwdriver-type impact driver, these things do IMPACT DRIVER jobs well, to do IMPACT WRENCH jobs i use XGT midtorque or XGT hightorque, not a 1/4" hex driver. Just as well use angle grinder instead of circular saw too then, since Flex fans seem to be so confused about what the tools should be used for and how.

Who is gonna pay you while you wait for your Flex tools to cool down? These tools arent made for real world users, theyu arent even tested before they went into production, the enghineers have no idea how such tools are used. Its a waste to buy into Flex battery ecosystem. Makita XGT is taking off fast and the line has all the best tools, tools that keep you in business, tools that dont need 30 minutes to cool after 5-10 minutes of hard use. Flex should by priced similar to Ryobi, it would be a success as a powerful budget line.

I’ve been running the flex turbo drill driver for 6months, I have only overheated the batter once, and it was the 2.5. The 5 and the drill itself hasn’t had any issues. I use it to drill out 6.5in holes in plaster/lath ceilings for recessed lights and drilled out entire basements for wire. It’s got more power than my gen 3 Milwaukee.
