Looks like your regulator as an issue to me. Your ground lookds a bit wimpy though, and make sure it's touching bare metal. Always worth using beefier wiring. Would be worth trying a big 3 or big 4 mod just to beef up your wiring. Look it up if you aren't familiar. I'd recommend buying wire from KnuKonceptz. Really good stuff for great prices.

I think wiring is one of the most neglected points on the average car. Good luck!

TPS dosnt have anything to do with the alt in these cars. It's a field issue with the alt. Older tractors and old hotrod used a 1 fat gauge wire to the alt. And it would need to see some rpm to excite the field wiring to make it start charging. I'd double check that your getting a key on 12volt to the one of the smaller wires on the connector of the alt. If so. It's a deffective alternator

It bad alternator because voltage should stay around 13.5 to 14.5 volt while engine idling. Battery there help jump start the car not keep it running. Bad battery can put strain on alternator charging if not working well.

Have you solved this issue? My 240sx literally does the SAME SHIT. My car died one day, so I tested the alternator. It tested bad, got a reman one, and car wasnt charging. Tested the new one and it tested good supposedly but I have to rev it to like 3k to get my car to charge.

Sorry for the late response. I still haven't solved the problem. Right now it turns off and on randomly. Checked the fuse and also checked my ground on the alternator and everything is fine. I even checked the forum and nobody knows why it's doing it. if i figure it out I will message you. Thanks for watching.
