For the x50 standard, does not come with digital meter and new ihu yet. Maybe in few months. But the executive spec does. So, make sure with your SA because in proton website it does say that standard variant comes with new addition.

X50 power
Please check the vibration of X50 3 cylinders engine during idling. Once use 1 to 2 years vibration started to move into steering and floor area rear passenger especially on traffic jam engine idling. There is definitely not as stable as 4 cylinders. Please test properly 😊

We did, in the full review of the X50 RC.
With Tiggo 7 priced so similarly with Omoda 5 now, Omoda just didn't make sense to me anymore.. engine itself already worth more than the price difference, plus bigger in size..

Im conflicted between O5 and T7. I like O5 size because i seldom carry any passengers but at the same time, with a few thousand ringgit difference, T7 seems to be a better deal. Only downside is T7 design is a little more conservative.
I would choose omoda instantly if not that front grill design.
Next video x90 vs J7
Quite hard for me to choose though…A Proton that has a interior door handle which has a tendency of snapping off / Loose engine mountings OR A Chery with brakes that you never know one day I decides to go Adios…or the axle which may one day say F*ck it I’ve decided that I no longer want to stay attached to this car

1. The brake failure issue was investigated and found to be entirely the fault of the user. 2. More Toyotas were found to suffer from accidental acceleration (which caused injury & fatality) than Omoda 5s suffered rear subframe failure. More importantly, all 60 vehicles affected in that batch were addressed within 2-weeks, and only 1 car reported failure. 3. We have made multiple mentions to PROTON about their interior door handles but they insist it's fine.

The break was weird at first but after 9k km it's feels better or I just got used to it... coming from 2015 Hrv 1.8.... this O5 is way better than the Old HRV. A value buy with all the 🔔 and whistles...

@@regaliaresources8106 buyer remorse. The owner had a history being a problematic person, even trying to do the same when she had a perodua. Want to return the omoda for a toyota.

Proton X90 vs Tiggo 8 pro next? Well I think Tiggo is better but then again I might be biased since I do own one..

O5, x50 still have power window issues after warranty
I prefer x50 rather than that Omoda 5 because I prefer to not have that Omoda’s disassemble rear axle function🤭

We review cars as they are made available to us. We cannot review vehicles we do not have or have access to.
X50 standard is consider old tech. Dashboard might feeling old and bore dy.
this is only comparison of X50 FL range, but X50 standard and executive models are much affordable for its price, and Omoda cant come near to that value offered to that price range.

Given that the lions share of sales come from the X50 Flagship and Omoda 5 H, this was the direction we chose to take.

@@MalaysianMotoring It's fantastic review, no questions. I put my msg for all other readers who undermines X50. Proton makes car keeping Malaysians in mind. For others this is just another market.
dont buy either. x50 alot of sensor problem especially the anti theft authentication failure.
Stay safe and jangan bodoh 😂😂 really like X50 but wife prefer 7 seater because easy to bring whole family to makan2, but X90 too expensive and exora is dead.

Keep recycling old issues. If you say because of protectionism how on earth Omoda 5 can sell at price close to X50. Tiggo 7 can sell cheaper than top spec X70. By right government shouldn’t allow it to happen probably explain your statement about protectionism.

@@MalaysianMotoring Dont underestimate Chinese G subsidies to any Chinese brands exporting their products, also , I will not be surprised if Cherry selling at any profit, they can do that , short term loss to penetrate markets...
