The 24mxz/A24 are really hard to beat as a jack of both sports. That plus the ease of use aka idiot proof are why they are so popular.

Nice vid as always. I like the 22 G23 wave shape over the 19 G23. It seems more versatile. The 19 wave seems good for airs and pops than surface tricks where as the 22 seems to be a nice blend allowing for balanced airs and surface tricks.

I agree there, also love the fact it didnt need the supercharged engine so better on fuel.

I love this style of video and wish there were so many more like this. Its a shame how much we spend on these without real conparison data on the wake.

I just picked up my first wakeboard ( I have limited previous experience on skis and a kneeboard) do u have any tips on getting up both for the driver and the rider? Would love to even see a whole video on it if possible.

I will try to make a video on this soon. For rider, keep knees bent and heels to your but, let the rope pick you up onto your feet while keeping toes slightly higher than knees. Keep arms straight and try not to pull rope into you, push hips up to handle instead of pulling rope in with arms. For driver, just take it slow and very consistent throttle

Great video, I agree with your thoughts! The shape of the Malibu looks very nice, but one thing I notice is it's a wedge shape. Compared to the 22 G23, with a nice rounded off wave. Just by looking, the 22 G23 is the wave I'd prefer. But, looking at a wave only tells half the story. Riding the wave is what matters! Hope your surgery went good, by the looks of it, it did!

Additional lead to your stock ballast and PNP on your MXZ?

On my 24 mxz I just ran stock ballast with 2 - 650 lb bags on the pnp. I would have everything full and make sure the boat was very level side to side.

Great video! Question for you. I have a dealer offering a steep discount on a '22 G23. My guess is the reason is because it doesn't have the supplemental ballast as an option. I know you added weight to your 22 in this video. Seems a bit crazy to me to spend so much on a boat but then need to add additional weight to get the wave right. However, I currently have a 2006 Centurion Avy C4 so I know the G23 without the supplemental ballast option will still be better than what I have now. Do you think it's worth pursuing this boat knowing I need to add weight?

Absolutely, the 2022 G23 is great even without the supplemental ballast. The only people complaining about not having the supplemental ballast are those coming from earlier versions of the same boat who want more. Also, you can do what I've done and put steel shot where the supplemental bags would go. I've got 1300 lbs of steel shot. Also, I may add the supplemental ballast myself at some point.

You're welcome. If I do it I will likely add the extra pumps as my cost is about the same with the extra pumps. I do think the swell option is very cool if you want a much easier install.

Which boat drinks the least amount of fuel? At these settings or close?

Honestly, i thought the 2019 G23 would be more efficient than the 2018 24 mxz, both with 450 equivalent engine, but they were pretty close to the same. So for it seems like the 2022 G23 is beating both of those but the prop is a less steep pitch on the 22 G23 as well. I can put a steeper pitch prop on the 22 but its done well with this prop so i think im going yo stick with it for better fuel efficiency.

Have you mixed your settings at all with NSS and NCRS? I feel like you can change the height and length by mixing those settings so you can dial in the wake to your likening. I will say with right prop spin on the newer Nautique it does make the goofy side a different wave. Not sure when it changed, our old Super AIr was left spin, which I know at least a 13 Malibu lvx is also left spin which will make Goofy side a better wake.

Oh yea, I've played with it plenty since this video. I like riding on NCRS 9 and 11.6 mph when I ride most of the time.

Great info I’m contemplating upgrading from my 19 G 23 to 22G 23 not sure it’s worth the extra hundred thousand dollars

Thank you! Yea, tough decision there. The wave has certainly improved but that's a big expense for sure. I know first hand.

The last video I saw was you giving your nautique away. So you still have that and waiting to hit the mark for that lucky person?

Hi Adam, I published the boat giveaway video over a year ago. I received delivery of my 2022 G23 in October of 2021 and sold my 2019 G23. The giveaway video unfortunately did not make it to any of the view levels required for the giveaways. I did giveaway some wake mann merch to the top comments though.

Hi Kourt, my preference would be the G23 as I think the wake and wave are better, imo. Both are great though, don't think you would be disappointed with either.

Hard to say as I've had to get used to the differences of each one. I think I can certainly say I prefer either the 24 mxz or 22 G23 to the 19 G23, but need more time with my 22 G23 before I can determine a preference. Wakeboard wake is definitely better on G23 though.
