WOULD YOU EVER STAY IN A CABIN LIKE THIS?? 🌲🏕🌵🏡

As an Eagle scout, I have stayed in a cabin like that. But have also slept under the stars with just a ground cloth and sleeping bag, among other tent and make your own shelter adventures.

@@coasterb1 YES. When I was growing up we were taken on a field trip out in the middle of the woods and they showed us how to construct your own survival shelter out of various brush. And I've used that knowledge a few times in life! Usually it happens when I think I'm going to spend the night under the stars and it ends up being a little too cold or it starts to rain hahaha

Hi from France ! I rarely comment on videos but I thought that you should know how appreciated and creative your videos and date/trips ideas are! I love the fact that you don’t show crazy super far trips but show that you can do fun and unconventional and accessible things everywhere ! Keep doing what you’re doing even though it can seem not so rewarding sometimes, because I’m sure you inspire a lot of people to really live life ! Thanks again and good adventures

😊This has to be one of the sweetest comments we've ever received! Thank you so much for that encouragement. And welcome from France! 🇫🇷It's crazy to us that 2 small-town kids from the midwest have been able to reach such a broad audience and make so many friends around the world 🌍It can definitely be discouraging at times, but we really love what we're doing. Even if no one watched the videos I think we would still probably make them.. it's just been so much fun getting to document different things that we're doing.😁But our hope is exactly what you said, that people are inspired to live life. Your comment has really meant more to us than you know. Thank you.

Guys I am obsessed with your drone shots!! They're insane 😍😍😍 fair play to you Ruth climbing up that windmill..I don't have a fear of heights but even I wouldn't do that haha!!! Love the little map that kept popping on screen! Not even joking it felt like a horror movie finding that cabin and walking in lol...how did you find this place? AirBnb? Jesus that bird scared me!!! The views from the loft are gorgeous!

Thanks Millie! We really like droning when we’re in such a beautiful place 🤩 haha yeah, the windmill climb is not something we would recommend for everyone, but it is the best view in the whole area! We actually found the cabin because it is on the property of an outdoor adventure camp we used to work at. It’s just an old cabin that’s been there for years and people can just visit it and hang out for a bit- if they know how to find it 😂😂

Hi Ruth and Thomas! I didn't know that ou sold the house and are traveling full-time! Thats so cool to know! Did you mention that in another video? Maybe I missed it. SO AWESOME!!!! Congratulations on that decisions and wishing you a wonderful year full of wonderful adventures!!!! So are you guys traveling in the SUV and sometimes Tent camping, other times cabin camping like on this video, Airbnb staying like in others, how are you doing it? So interesting!!! The map graphic was so funny and cool! 👍 Wao Ruth you rock climbing that mill!!!! 🤩😎 So is all that area is kind of like abandoned? Carin, another interesting word I didn't know. Great that you found it just before it started to get dark!!! Love those places where you can enjoy the quietness of nature and the singing birds! OMG I thought it was a rat. Thanks God it was a bird. The Suspense Scene was done amazingly! The lighting with that flashlight and the music used, SUPER!!!!!!! You guys are so talented! Love the cabin vibes with all the fire pit, dinner, ant then showing it all during the daylight, all of the cedar woodwork and the nice interior! Careful with that stove, please don't burn the cabin! 😂😬😅 And of course awesome Drone Shots! Close encounters with a Rattle snake during the night 😬😬😬😬😬😱😱😱 Glad you enjoyed your adventures in the cabin! Looking forward to the tour! Happy Weekend friends! 🤗 Elvi

YES. Sooo.. it's actually a little more complicated haha.. We haven't really talked about it in any of our videos, but we sold our house 3 weeks ago and aren't quitting our jobs until January of '22. So right now, we've moved in with my (Thomas) parents and are trying to save and prepare as much as we can so that we can travel internationally in January. Our goal right now is to spend at least a year backpacking overseas and if the lifestyle suits us then we will try to extend our time and see the world! We are so excited to begin this journey and really would not have thought it possible without the support of you guys and all our travel friends 😊

Thank you for sharing your adventure! I graduated from HS in Kerrville, TX, not too far from Camp Eagle. It truly is a magical place. Although I definitely didn't appreciate it at the time, it's a spectacular place to live. We lived on the Guadalupe River and looking back on it now I'm so grateful for the experience. We used to go on trail rides by horseback very close to where you are. :-)

That is so cool to hear! We went into Kerrville on almost all of our off days, so we are VERY familiar with it and have many fond memories!! Did you ever go to Spirit Wind Java or Thai Ocha?? Those were two of our favorite hangouts. I think one of the things we miss the most about Texas is all the amazing crystal clear rivers! Float trips down there were the best! Up north all our rivers are muddy and brown.. 😖

Hahaha that snake definitely freaked us out a little bit at first, but luckily it didn’t want to stick around! We were a little tempted to fly the drone, but we also knew we were close. I think the biggest issue was that someone had knocked down the cairn so it really could have been any one of a number of little offshoot paths 😬😬 Fortunately we didn’t have to look for too long and we found the right path in a few minutes! Haha Ruth doesn’t believe in my sense of direction either but I think it’s impeccable! 🤣🤣

It always serves as a good teaching tool for the campers to get out of their comfort zone and build faith in new ways. One of our favorite things was always staying with campers who were too afraid to go down at first. More often than not, if we just spent a minute with them and prayed with them, they were able to develop the confidence to do any of the high elements.
