Hi! My name is Leonie and I am a 22 year old girl who loves talking about books! From YA to non-fiction to classics, I read it all (although fantasy will always be my fave). I live in the Netherlands and go to university, but make booktube videos in my spare time :)

@@KK-jl8em that's the whole point of my main comment. I don't like reading bunch of stories at the same time, not that I'm not capable of reading them. Don't know why it bothered you so much. I think you might need to read some more books, seems like you can't understand what you read.
@ghx198

@@KK-jl8em when did I state anything? Can't you tell apart between a fact and an opinion?
Hii , a tip from me , what I do with long books like that , just as I did with the song of Ice and fire series , when they give you a list of characters at the end take the time before starting the book to make a large "family tree" or multiple ones for the kingdoms and families involved, and as the story progresses write down the ways that they are related and stuff it's really helpful ... A lot of work but honestly the only way for me to get through the beginning of such books ♥
I read this book and loved it so much! I actually personally found the pacing really good, there was always new and interesting information given so there wasn’t really any slow parts. Some characters I didn’t care about in the beginning but by the middle I was like omg I love all these characters!!!!
Omg that is so interesting! We had the complete opposite favourite characters/pov's In the beginning of The Priory of the Orange Tree! It's so interesting how different people like different things about books!
Just found your channel and am loving it, and the fact that you called anatomy a 'vintage science' made me break out smiling... so funny

This was the perfect time for you to pop up in my recommended feed because I’m planning on reading Priory for a readathon in April. This was a fun video, thanks!!
you honestly have the best vibes!! this was so enjoyable to watch 💛💛💛
I find it really hard to find book tubers I really love and can follow regularly and actually find interesting, but you're so easy to love and seem to have a similar reading speed to me swell as giving good descriptions and talking at a perfect speed for me to understand and follow ... lots of love from a new subscriber
Such a lovely vlog! I have The Priory book sitting on my shelf, but I think I will pick it up in the summer time. Glad to hear you are enjoying it 😊 And well done getting so much read 👏

Sabran and Ead
I've been stuck in the middle of priory for about six months now (just too many characters) and you gave me the inspiration to try and keep reading it!
300 pages in 24 hrs, I’d say that’s dedication! 💛 Although I’ve never read a book with mature/older characters before so that may be a factor of the time spent reading besides the writing style.
Very cool video! Loved the intro! I did a 24h readathon a few days ago and it was a struggle, it took my 6 hours to finish the last 200 pages that i had left of a book (i dont read fast at all, but i read faster than 200/6h lol)
i really enjoyed the video ❤️👌🏻 i met your channel for the first time and your English and accent is really good, keep going! 💪🏻❤️
Your lifes aesthetic gives me motivation thank you
So happy I found your channel! Time to binge watch your videos hehe

Oh my! i have never done this, being a part of 24 hours readathon. Seems like this is something I should give it a try to. And Orange of the Priory Tree has been there on my TBR and I have a proof copy, gosh don’t know why I didn’t read it 😱
I really liked this book especially the world and character building is probably the best I've read. I do agree that it took me around 150 pages to get into it, but it was worth the wait a slow read but an essential ones.
Priory is definitely a book I want to read but aw man I could never read half of it in a day! Props to you for trying though and getting as far as you did!!! That’s awesome

hey there! Not a lot of anatomy or alchemy but in The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, one of our main character, the one we actually see most of our main characters, was training to become a surgeon but ended up in the army! We do have a bunch of scenes that focus on the surgeon aspect! It is 1007 pages tho! I do recommend it! (Actually picked it up after Priory of the Orange tree!) - also loved your vlog!
this is lovely to watch📚💛
Alchemy? Girl , if you haven't read Name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss already, please do! That book is amazing and right up your alley based on what your tastes! I highly recommend it.

I joined the readathon but had to pack so I spent the day listening to audiobooks and finished two books 🤗
I love big thick books siting outside reading it when your half way through it and everyone looks at you like it make you feel intelligent as hell, books are like cloths only you don’t wear books.
I immediately knew u were dutch the moment u started talking hehe.. fellow dutch booknerd here :D
I love the yellow aesthetic of this vlog and your editing style! And I definitely feel you on the slow reading pace of Priory. I got two chapters in and set it aside for now because it was such a dense read. I need to pick it back up again. I really want to read it but it's definitely an intimidating book. Have you finished it yet? Did you like it overall?

The Montegue siblings' books by Mackenzi Lee have a female character that is interested in alchemy and is mainly about late 1700 alchemy/medicine mixed with pirates and sarcasm. The books are on Storytel and the Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue is one of the funniest audiobooks I've listened to, great to listen to while doing chores/biking etc!

It really helps getting some reading done!
I read this book and it took me like a month and Im a pretty fast reader so I understand the struggle 😂😂
This is on my TBR for past 3 months and I even have audible and still haven’t started 😅
One one hand I'm glad I got this as an e-book and didn't realize it had a glossary and everything because that meant I just kept on pushing forward through the first 200 pages and just accepted being confused, but I really wish I could know what my experience would have been if I had read abt the characters when getting to know them or when they reappeared and I had no idea who they were haha
My only regret is not grabbing that book from my library before all this, I literally looked at it and went naw I probably won’t read it 😞
That chocolate bar looks so attractive, oh my!

Any time I've done a 24 hour readathon it's never been on purpose so I honestly admire anyone who is able to keep it up for that long, especially with a physical book. I know I can't be the only one that feels guilty for just sitting down and reading when I know I could probably be doing "better" things with my time?

I absolutely loved The Priory! But then I didn't care for Niklais or Tane at all and lived all for Ead xD hope you liked the book at the end!!
I’m doing my first 24 hour readathon soon that’s for tips

A random question…^^’ is your edition of the priory of the orange trees the big one with 23cm or the small one with the 20cm?
If i read books in one time i usually forget the whole story except some moments in the book. It's really annoying because I forget the endings too
